Jarrod's way of looking at current Muppet projects are how every Muppet fan should look at not just current Disney Muppet projects but also Sesame Street.
Steve Swanson: I'm so used to as a Muppet fan now, so many things I see in Muppets now, I'm just used to my default response being "Well...
Here's a fun puppet musical from last night's episode of Life in Pieces. Leslie Carrara plays the monkey and Joey Mazzarino plays the lobster. Tim Lagasse and Donna Kimball were also involved.
The first episode was good. I really like the disco song it had. And I liked the other characters noticing the heroic music. The second episode was funny with lots of great moments. The characters call themselves Muppets just like they did in the original series. Animal saying "Animal go...
I want you guys to weigh in on this theory why Frank did a voice here when normally he doesn't.
Jarrod Fairclough: Have either of you seen the GMA interview?
Steve Swanson: Unfortunately I missed that.
JD Hansel: Not yet.
Jarrod: Well, the woman asks Frank to do Animal's voice. And I watched it...
The bookends with Grover dressed as a butterfly were funny, particularly the end where Grover calls two butterflies Maxwell and Lucida. The Mr. Noodle bit in the new EW was sorta funny where he thought butterfly meant butter that flies.
I really liked it. Statler and Waldorf saying "That joke wasn't bad. But it wasn't good" was funny. Nanny's song was catchy. Piggy finding Hot Potato to be a good game for Gonzo's potato friend was the perfect ending.
The bookends with Abby and the Two-Headed Monster were cute. I liked Ryan's voice for the lettuce in the new EW. I also liked Schmoodle pushing a big shopping cart of cabbages.
I like how Statler and Waldorf in this series like the jokes that Fozzie tells. I like how this version of Camilla is an actual chick as opposed to the original series where she was just a toy.
I have to say, I really do like this series so far. There's no talking to the audience like I'd thought there'd be, the humor is very good, I liked Kermit getting dizzy. Overall, I think fans of the original Muppet Babies will be happy.
Technically, it has. Sesame Manic uploaded all the street scenes as unlisted videos: kCTiwBUQqwI, JXOumIMomAM, tiBG-PMEW7U, kZ549WJe_0k, YXbxvldSg_Q, zlL9xKzpJss
@LittleJerry92, are you happy that we finally know the episode number for when Elmo filled in for Little Jerry? http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Episode_2867
The street story was fun. We got to see the chemistry between Big Bird and Snuffy with Matt playing Big Bird. It was interesting how they didn't rerecord the vocals for Elmo Slide. Combining all the dance versions of Murray and Ovejita's segments into one was a little odd.
ToughPigs released the audio for the interview. I prefer to listen to interviews rather than read them, so this was nice. @LittleJerry92 will like this: Frank is a pretty big fan of Little Jerry and the Monotones:
