The term Reboot is thrown around too easily. I don't like the impression this will be a reboot, since it's like a reboot of a franchise that, while it has it's big lull periods, doesn't completely disappear. I especially don't want it to come off as a retread either. We need a title to go...
This video has both the TV series and song and book series Miss O songs.
I really don't like that samba number, but LOVE that Gilbert and Sullivan-esque puppet show piece. Seriously, if she was an optimist in the show, she'd get very obnoxious very fast.
While I really liked this episode, especially how Steven respects the heck out of his dad, I have one question.
How the heck did the part with Steven in the watchtower with a T-shirt gun get by the censors? Seems like that's the first episode to get pulled if something bad happens. That and...
And can I say I have humongous respect after obvious Zelda, Frogger, and Pac-Man jokes (followed by the overly referenced Super Mario bit) that Cyborg's segment was parodying a not as well known game. There were plenty of obvious routes, but they went with Spy Hunter instead. Of course, this...
Mando and Leela tend to appear less than frequently, at least compared to Alan and Chris who are the most common. Mando and Leela did pop in a few times this season. Like 6 or so times in 26 episodes (I need to recount...maybe 7 or so), but the overwhelming majority of episodes featured Chris...
I have to admit, I think the song version vs. the show version of Miss O is like that. I know those things predate the series, but they really improved upon the character by making her obstinate instead of an optimist. And the song in the TV show is better too.
Never liked when they added the term "The New" to the title of TV series, especially cartoons. I mean, if they're successful, when they're rerun it's like "The New Fat Albert Show" or something. It's newer than the old episodes with maybe a format change or something, but once they hit those...
Some of those original cast members are pretty up there. I'm wondering if these actors feel they want to move on and are just less available than they used to be. Wasn't Susan's actress a school teacher for a while?
It's a shame to see big mainstays leave the show for newer actors, but...

I HATE YOU, SHORT RUN IN PERU!!!! GET LOST! NO ONE LIKES YOU...

I want to love this idea, but I just can see it falling into the same preschool movie ghetto the last 2 Sesame Street films fell into. Let's face it. FTB, great movie as it is, didn't make that much. Less than most Muppet films, to be precise. It's only after it hit home video and TV reruns...
Yeah! And what ever happened to the guy that's the guy from UHF that said "You so Stupid! You so Stupid!"?
It really is a shame to see cast members leave, but when you have a show that's been on as long as this one has, expecting cast members, even long time ones to leave and disappear is...
Preschool channels completely confuse me. I don't buy the need for preschool programming beyond 9 PM. Midnight feedings me all you want, I don't buy it. Kids that young could get the same benefit from a strobe light and a CD of cartoon sound effects. I get not everyone who has cable has on...
There's always the budget issues of having X-amount of puppeteers and actors on call in a shooting session. That's why quite a few recent episodes looked like they were on a deserted street with like 2 or 3 characters there. That is a good point about the cartoonish competition being a reason...
I forgot I put this in another thread, but might as well put it here. Mr. Bag is hardly the scariest, most disturbing thing to come out of a Rally's/Checkers...
What they did to Rhinox is far more terrifying. Even worse than what Megatron did to him, turning him into Tankor. Obligatory...
I love the fact that where other shows have a main character as a jerk, Gumball gets called out on his behavior and even feels bad for it sometimes. Seems that he's deep down a troubled individual, at least that's what "The Society" revealed.
Also, it seems Gumball can be very genre savvy...
After another frustrating hiatus, April 26 will start a series of new episodes. And with it, more mutants. Surprisingly including Muck Man and Joe Eyeball. Seems the episode is going to reference The Toxic Avenger (at least as far as the title goes). Strange connection since the Toxic...
Unless that was all stopgap replacements and they have darker designs on the channel. But the Bronies won't let them. I'm glad that TF:RB has been renewed for another season at least. So you know the Hasbro preschool and girl programming isn't going anywhere. But I just can't help but think...
The show has really gotten dark and sometimes subversive lately. I love it, naturally.
Supposedly, the next episode (which everywhere that doesn't speak English already has got, of course) was so dark they needed to make a complete rewrite. Straight from Ben Bocquelet himself. All that's...
