We are so on the same page here. I have that same issue with the balcoly shirt too.
I like the parodies for calendars, and the Kermit Clein is kind of cute (although very dated), but all this Animal surfing and whatnot goes over the top. These people could put a good headshot of Animal on a...
I have seen many clever Muppet t-shrits over the years, but one thing bugs me - the writing on them.
I'd be perfectly happy with a simple strong character image, but most of them have some silly or child-like saying on them that weakens their value to me.
Does a Pepe shirt always have to...
Good points about Americans, Jessica. Couldn't say it better myself. It's kind of how I see the Muppets too, in a way. A melting pot of cultures that clash, but all get along in the end. Some with the aid of “green root beer”, some not. LOL!:)
Re: Re: Members Survey
Could you please explain what you mean by disappear? Are you saying that the menu starts over again each time you refresh, or does it completely disappear for good?
You will be glad to know that we are working on a new image for the forum menu that I think...
The balconies look kind of Muppet Showesque, but don't all of them do that? It's a prettier theater designed for camera interaction. I enjoy how the viewer feels closer to the action rather than at arms length in past Oscars (before last year). The sound is better too. Acoustics seem to have...
Unfortunately, we live in a world of "infotainment" and the war is this year's Super Bowl of news.
I think this unfortunate practice began years ago when cheesy tabloid shows like Hard Copy and A Current Affair packaged news as entertainment. Later, the network news began these tactics to...
That's kind of what I was thinking. I think a globe is the most neutral symbol. But what do flags have to do with the Academy Awards?
What does everyone think about the Kodak theater?
That was the one slow point. Yeah, that could have been much quicker. I wondered how long that would take when they started. It also favored actors over the other artists, but the Oscars always do that. It's just that films are such a committee. The fact that the writers and editors are often...
Hmmm. That could go along with Gonzo's fashion choice for the Prince episode of Muppets Tonight. I did a spit-take when I saw that years ago. One of the characters I identify with was in fishnets! Not mentioning what Seymore was wearing. "Unbelievable!";) :concern:
Now back to the Oscars. I guess that I'm the only one who enjoyed the fact that the ceremonies were short. I didn't enjoy the film montages, but I never do. You'd think that the Academy of Motion Pictures with all the footage in cinema history could edit together better pieces.
I remember...
I've got a pair of whitey tightys that I can fly from my sig! They're clean.
(Editied because I didn't understand the sarcasm. I'm a dense frogboy sometimes):zany:
I totally agree. Not only is the voice similar, but he has the same spirit and gestures. Not perfect, but as good as it gets. Brian does the character much justice. Big shoes to fill, but Brian Henson has been filling some mighty big shoes for years. ;) :)
I see the PVC figures as something different. I'd like to see a normal Janice, Fozzie and Rizzo to go along with Thog, Piggy, Mahna, Gonzo etc.
I would like to see full scale figures of Piggy Dorothy, Cowardly Fozzie, Tin Man Gonzo and Scarecrow Scooter. Maybe a "flying monkey" Rizzo and...
