Ooooh! Very nice. Much better than mine too. What did you build the the stairs out of? What materials did you use? Great stuff! Mine is much more flat. Much of the relief (the downstairs) is a photoshopped picture rather than a real room. Spectacular stuff!
Nate was absolutely correct how I created the images. Here are a few 2 minute mock-ups I made just for fun. They aren't great, but still very cute. If I were to use them much more time would be spent. These follow the formula of the other babies.
BABIES:)
Now that is a great idea. Again, we can easily make our own. I have already created an entire backstage playset, but haven't put it together yet. It's just photographic imagery painted together and printed out at Kinkos. I then must mount it on foam board and cut it out. Guess I'm on the crafty...
I didn't see much of the show, but I liked how the characters were drawn. Why do stations produce new garbage when they could rerun these gems at a sweet deal? You know, all they'd really have to do is maybe make a new modern animated intro. That's probably not even necessary. There are some...
In that case you could really just make your own cardboard stage. I am making one myself. It's pretty simple to do and I don't think it's worthy of Palisades to make a cheap version. It certainly won't help if they decide to make a real version down the line. :concern:
Disney's connection to the film is explained in the featurette. They basically just released it and provided the translated track. That was my point. I would like to see them involved in some of the character animation in a future project. They would keep it from being quite as stiff. I felt at...
I finally saw Animation Academy Award winner Spirited Away. I must first state that I have never liked Japanese animation of any sort. This film is different.
Bear with me. I have to get my general gripes out of the way first.
It is well known that I have high standards for animation –...
I'll bite:
Emily Bear
Astoria
Zelda Rose
The Sandwich from Muppets From Space
Wayne and Wanda with their Playset
Just Kidding!
This is what I'd like to see if I ruled the Palisades planet. (purely self-serving with little thought for the rules)
Popcorn Scooter MTM
Sweetums...
Are you saying Cleese isn't a desirable guest or did I read that wrong? I think he was one of the best and I enjoy his work apart from the Muppets too. :)
The thing about the Muppets is that some of their best shows center around lack-luster guests. That kind of makes much of this discussion moot. The guests have always been my least favorite portion anyway, but still an important one. I'm sure that if the Muppets worked with the dreaded Olson...
Mr. Piggy
By the way, welcome to the board. :) Forgot to say that. :o
I completely understand what you're saying. Palisades is trying to please all perspectives, but that's tough to do. I know Ken is really interested in doing a Biker Piggy and neato versions of regular characters - expect...
I look at the Theater as a deluxe set that is seperate from the others. That's always how Ken has described it so I'm trusting that. It should really be considered differently.
There is some confusion in this thread about just how detailed the Theater would be. This has been discussed at...
We have an FAQ here and line-up plan for the figures. All of this has been covered several times, but with the lengthy threads on the issue (that begun on the old board years ago) it's hard to search the answers out. That's why we compiled an FAQ.
Quick answers to some of your questions -...
Backstage, Muppet Theatre, Vet's Hospital. I understand that the Theater might take a while and the backstage set is the real signature potrion of the Muppet Show. It appeared ore often (as a whole) than the theater. It was in every other scene.
