Although, Fraggle Rock was quite the functioning utopian society. Wish we could all be like Muppets. :D Unfortunately the world just doesn't work that way, but that doesn't mean we can't try and shoot for it.
Communism is a good theoretical concept (everyone is equal etc) but its implementation has never worked. It just congers images of waiting in line for an hour for a roll of toilet paper.
Spirited was heavily promoted in TV spots here in San Francisco, but there should have been more elsewhere. There should have been toys too. One thing that might have geared it away from that is it's over 2 hour running length. I still see no excuse for it. :smirk:
No, I think it was after that. I'm not that comitted to the show so I might have the timeline mixed up, but she had this short layered cut that was very flattering, but didn't last long. :o
I agree with you guys. A person’s political affiliation really doesn’t have much to do with what kind of person they are. There are enough kind people and buttheads in every political party to go around.
The way this question was presented makes me wonder if the intention of this thread was...
Thanks guys. I was about to skip this one. Very glad I didn't. This was one of the more hurried menus, but I guess it worked out. I wanted to mix up all the worlds instead of sectioning it too much. Did you see all the extras? Aughra, the mystics, the goblin, the nebri...I wanted to include...
I never liked the Hilda puppet, but she did have a cute personality. Mildred, on the other hand, was a dynamic-looking puppet. The character has roots that predate the Muppet Show. Yeah, she was a little hard on Piggy a couple times, but who hasn't been? LOL! Mildred for President! :)
Reportedly, Pepe is taller than Rizzo when it should be the other way around. His hair is what makes him taller. I think his head is actually lower than or level to Rizzo's. This scale is, in part, due to the arm issue that Zack mentioned. It should also be noted that Rizzo is a somewhat fatter...
I don't do donuts either. LOL! I stay away from bread for the most part. I also stay away from caffeine, alcohol (except for a very rare celebration) and sweets. Kind of a health nut of sorts. Anyway, there aint much at Starbucks (or any such place) that I can get. Restaurants are equally as...
:D Thanks. I'm convinced if I hadn't quit smoking, I'd be looking all of my 29 years.
Yeah, it's probably difficult to sew that tiny. I'm not a coffee drinker. Is there a way to buy the lot of these without buying a beverage? I might just have my coffee drinking friends get em.
April 22nd is a cool day on many fronts. My mom's birthday, the day I quit smoking 4 years ago and the release date for Madonna's album. Um...we'll see how cool that last one is. Might have to scratch that one. ;)
Those finger puppets look kind of funky. Not sure how I feel about them.
I remember reading it in high school. I particularly enjoy it because it demonstrates how life has no easy answers. That's an important lesson to learn growing up. A beautiful and very sad book.
I remember some religious groups accusing the fillm to have occult influences when it was first released. How times change. I don't think the children's title is a bad one. It's just depressing that's the only way the film is reconized.
Hmmm. That wouldn't be anything like your obsession for X-Men's Hugh Jackman, would it? LOL! Seriously, were you upset at the idea that someone was idolizing the actor or that they were of the same sex? I can understand the former.
I am terribly offended. LOL! Just kiddin. :p No problem here, just thought it was funny that last year most people were making the opposite arguement. I've always thought this medium size (to Kermit's collar) was a good height. Pepe is actually smaller than Rizzo if it weren't for his hair so...
That's probably one of those bad rumors. I don't think that film should have ever been remade. Heck, I was shocked when they remade Psycho. Who greenlighted that deal? What bother's me most is the casting choice. They might as well cast Keanu Reeves and Meg Ryan. (shudders) If they ever remade...
It's funny that 365 days ago people were freaking out about the possibility of Rizzo being too big. I trust that he'll be just right. They can't have him Kermit sized, but he doesn't have to be a flea either. It looks like they've settled on a good compromise. I kind of look at the series as one...
