I've always gotten that vibe from Fozzie, the "nice guy". Perhaps a bit asexual, he has always seemed extremely sweet, yet very naive.
Not sure why Janice is on the list, she's been madly in love with Floyd...though one has to wonder just *how* wild some of the Electric Mayhem parties would...
You see what's going on right? Grotesque detail doesn't sell. All was well in toyland til Mcfarlane came around, and by 1997 all the sudden more and more toy companies were insisting all their toy lines in the coming years would be big articulated-less detailed to the grossest detail. Between...
yep, I hear you. pretty much its JUST the Sam and Max statue. Hey, how do you think us as mascot video game fans feel. Theres not ONE Rayman plush/toy(just the horrid rabbid stuff), not one thing for Starfox, or countless other series.
Heck, still no Rockos Modern life toys or plushes even tho...
I think one of the grandest new ideas mentioned by a lot of people here is the idea of an "epic" Muppet video game, that could be cross platformed on the DS, Wii and 360.
I finally got ahold of the PAL MFC European dvd release. It was nice to FINALLY see an unedited version of this; however...digging a little deeper it appears to NOT be "unedited", but missing a key scene with Fozzie and Ma Bear hanging stockings(as well as a brief scene with Rizzo and Elmo)...
The 1990's I have to say were the absolute best time for action figures, right through the early 2000's. You remember the great Crash Bandicoot and Sonic the Hedgehog figures from Resaurus in the 1998-2000 time frame? Or all the Toy Biz Nintendo and Capcom figures?
Ha, that's a good question. Especially if anyone's been able to collect the backstage playset or somehow cobble together a custom theater curtain playset.
Yeah, I'd say MEGO style would work. Especially if you can find a Mark Hamil or Sly Stallone doll in that scale!
I am greatly awaiting both UK and NY Toy Fair coverage for Muppets, as well as Sonic and Nintendo/Mario merchandise(and any other video game related merchandise) Each year I am shocked that collector/niche market/cool toys still get made, as it seems it's a world that keeps shrinking(especially...
No Disney retail stores in America have any Muppet related products. They clearanced what little they had a few months ago. The Disney parks, especially Walt Disney World has a good amount of stuff. It's next year, especially the summer and fall where Disney stores and elsewhere will have a lot...
I never knew there was a Doc Hogg and Ray plush made?

I'm guessing these are the only non Blue House inhabitant characters ever made into merchandise form? I always wished they had made toys...
Dang, if you had posted this a year ago you would have been in luck! I had virtually every Palisades Muppet thing in existence, but sold most of it all off in a couple of crazy cheap lots to make room for my move.
@Dr Tooth: I agree about us fans complaining when it's a seriously flawed reprisal(ie: Lady Gaga/D23 "Kermit" when Whitmire was on vacation), but even my cynical mind feels most the replacements are just flawless. Cookie, Fozzie, Piggy, Animal, etc all act and sound precisely how I remembered...
Oh man this is way too awesome
It's pretty clear the Muppets WILL indeed be quite cerebral and "meta"(or as I might call it, meta-meta)
I can't wait to see how they will play with the whole "everything the Muppets have done as actors will be acknowledged" plotline. So nice they'll be...
So, did I happen to watch an entirely different broadcast than everyone on page 1 did? Maybe I got a super special West Coast version of SNL, because the Cookie/Jeff Bridges sketch I saw was nothing short of glorious. Cookie just makes me laugh so hard, I loved when he was flickering his hands...
For anyone who has any doubt, please see this short clip from the other night of Jason Segal on The Tonight Show. I've never heard anyone on tv so succinctly summarize why the Muppets are such pure magic:

Actually I think we're just about in a new glory days for the Muppet. I know, people point to how many times Ive said that over the year...but I dont think any of us expected what has been happening visibly and behind the scenes(the online content, the comics, disney making the muppet movie one...
While I agree, you can also understand people's pessimism and being a bit worry wart-ish. From 1998 til a couple years ago we have had a lot of hopes dashed and false alarms. I personally believe if 2011 delivers the goods on all fronts, it will have been all worth it.
You're right though...I...
The Muppets resonate and connect with people in a way that Hana Barbara, Looney Tunes, and yes even Disney's beloved characters don't. As an experiment, go to a public place(shopping mall, grocery store, etc) wearing a spongebob, yogi bear, disney, etc shirt or piece of apparel/accessory...and...
I totally remember all the "HA!" credits. Im so glad JHC resurrected the same logo for their "Henson Alternative" brand(not to be confused with Comedy Central originally being called HA!)
And on a somewhat related note, many may not know that HIT Entertainment(behind Bob the Builder, Barney...
