You know, I was thinking...a really good evil sidekick would be a Creature Shop design, something Skeksis-like. Put a Skeksis in a suit and tie, perfect! I just saw Chris Cooper in the Company Men, and I loved him in Adaptation. I've no doubt he'll make a great bad guy.
The second in command...
See, I don't get why people have been erasing Pepe from their minds. Roger did this with the Muppet show, and clearly some of those issues take place in the modern time.
I think it's really Segal and other's lack of post JH knowledge; so they may not even be aware of Pepe. Pepe is one of the...
Yeah the whole hyper PC brigade thing is just too much. They accused Disney of racism? My goodness, since 1993 a great deal of their tentpole animated theatrical films featured a non white protagonist. Aladdin, Pochahontas, Mulan, New Groove, Lilo and Stitch, Little Bear.
I couldn't have said it better! Disney owns all the rights now, heck it was a Disney/JHC venture to begin with, and had always had Disney Channel television rights....such is why their refusal to air it on any of their channels makes no sense.
I think some sort of internal politics or...
Earlier today Roger posted this on one of the "boom cancels" blog news:
Sounds like even Roger may not be up to speed.
People who think the line is merely delayed because of Roger's brief leave of absence may be forgetting that ALL the Pixar, Muppet and other Disney lines seem abruptly...
I'm still waiting for collector market Muppet Replica Posers that actually *look* just like the posers we've grown accustomed to(from 1980's Muppet Magazine spreads to 1990's parody calendars to today)
And it has been a long wait and struggle with Disney since they got the brand, but...
The girls toys are great for young girls. But once girls get of a certain age, a lot of them want whats in the "boys toys" aisle. Heck I always see young girls wanting toys from the boy aisle...and who can blame them. All the Pokemon, Mario, Sonic, etc stuff is there. Most the girls I know or...

It's a rather lengthy article, but with an opening like this, I can't help but smile with glee:)
He goes on to say
This is truly an amazing and powerful article going into why Jim Henson's legacy and the Muppets matters more now than ever before...
Glad someone posted it for more to see! I was able to rip the episode from a netflix rental of the Season 6 Cosby Show.
I saw this one Thursday night in early 1990 when it originally aired, loved in immediately. Then again Im a HUGE fan of 1989 era Muppets(when it was filmed) I love Jim Henson...
It would be shocking and terrible if Pepe is not included as one of the main core Muppets...a major major faux paus on the part of Segal and the entire Disney and Muppet crew if that pans out.
But I hear you on the idea of a Muppet sidekick to the Chris Cooper character. However I'm thinking...
I like that idea! So far the few Muppet game apps(from a few years ago) were rather crummy. But I could see a quality new kart racer title(like Crash Bandicoot's new Nitro Kart smart phone game releases) I definitely could see an iphone or Android OS series of Muppet game/app releases.
Every female friend I know or girl Ive dated, when we've gone to Toys R Us, they always run with glee to the "boys toys" section.
Maybe it's because I only have nerd female friends, but I cant see how 20 something girls into toys would want anything to do with the "pink section"(other than the...
I cant stand Family Guy anymore. Sure, virtually every episode has Sesame or Muppet parodies(including the Star Wars spoof movies), but the show is just repulsive.
Ive become a big Simpsons fan again, as the newer seasons prove to me they're edgy and smart in their own way. I like the recent...
brilliant my man! Heck you could have the Newsman and Lew Zealand discuss the bizarre worldwide phenomenon of all the birds dropping out of the sky and fish dying, have Sam the Eagle on Fox News discussing the decline of moral values, and Crazy Harry discussing the war on terror in the middle east.
Im surprised Im the only one thinking of Disney needing to have an official fan weekend at Disneyland(or WDW), or an official fan convention(if neither materializes, I say we should make D23 in August the official Muppet fan gathering)
In any given year, especially since the Muppet buyout...
I would actually be shocked if there isn't a reference, if not an actual scene relating to Muppet fan sites/forums/etc. If Walter is a hardcore Muppet fan in 2011, there's no way they could exclude a scene like that. Heck Kermit way back in 2002 referenced Muppet fan websites in VMMCM. I also...
It's no secret that Clash is a master puppeteer, performer and artisan. Anyone who has seen Clash with Elmo in person(be it Muppetfest, the various Henson/performing arts appearances, or random events) knows that he has an uncanny ability and craft.
A recent interview with a Sesame muppeteer...
What's the usual protocol for Disney live action movies? I guess the closest is "G-Force", but its prime characters were cgi. Usually we get figures for most of Disneys movies. But where does The Muppets fit? Pirates of the Carribean and Sorcerer's Apprentice fit in their live action...
Same here. While so much is on virtual media(on demand, netflix/streaming, digital files, etc) or on new media(blu ray); Im still kind of stuck in the 90's with some things. Its really more of a collector thing. Like I bought the Scott Pilgrim dvd, but downloaded the blu ray version to watch...
Disney released both a Tangled and a Tron Legacy collectors magazine, so its pretty safe to assume we're going to get a nice slick glossy collectors magazine for "The Muppets" this fall.
(and this will be the first new Muppet magazine in almost 22 years)
