A bit disappointed that (spoilers in white) the alternate universe scene had so little screen time, but there's potential for this arc with the worm to be revisited. Still, an impressively animated scene, most likely done in Flash.

That and the human protagonists weren't all that interesting, at least to me. Who says Muppet movies have to be sweet 24/7?

Just started watching the Clone Wars TV series, and I've noticed, too.

The Flintstones at least has impressive set designs, as well as impressive puppets courtesy of Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

Though the writers still try to provide witty dialogue and sketches when they're allowed to.

Same goes for Hoots. His older look was more like that of an owl with the eyes and messy feathers. I don't mind Bert looking this perfect, however. He is supposed to be a neat freak, after all.

I'm not really too bothered by the new Fozzie and Gonzo designs either. I don't notice much of a difference unless I look hard enough. I can easily see the rounder head and shaggier fur in the new Foz, and that's about it. But yes, I agree with the move beyond design perfection in the '80s to...

The Muppets certainly has its issues, what with awkward editing and its putting too many characters into the movie, not to mention the somewhat dull human leads (IMO). But I wouldn't call it the worst Muppet movie I've ever seen, or the worst thing to be associated with them.
