I heard on 3 different radio stations that the film is going to bomb; but I'm interested in seeing it for myself. I heard that the film was hard for everyone to work on, and that Frank even left the set a couple of times because he just couldn't deal...but that, too, was from the radio stations.

Disney owns all things Muppets, except Bear in the Big Blue House and Fraggle Rock, which is still owned by JHC. Sesame Workshop still owns the Sesame Street Muppets.

When it gets to a point that you aren't sure if you can hang, I'd say you'd likely need to get someone else in there to begin mentoring into those roles, y'know? All that plus the stress of working under a new company (Disney) must be problematic for the performers as well.
