You have to have patterns to make puppets. Even if you create your own puppet, you should create a pattern for it while constructing it so when you have to rebuild it later you can and get a better match. Even the Muppets use patterns. Heck, props and scenery require designs or construction...

Actually, I enjoy watching this cartoon. Most of the other "modern" cartoons don't have anything funny about them but work for shock-humor with burps and poots; however, Spongebob actually has story lines, the animation is good, characters all have definite personalities, and it's funny...
