I love all the bears and all, but Charlie's one of my favorites already. I really hope he's recurring like Nom Nom. Jason Lee did a great job as he usually does here. This could have easily been just a "house guests and fish stink after three days" plot, but they really pulled this one off...
It's been a while since we've had a Muscle Man episode. I like that out of all the characters, episodes focusing on him are oddly some of the most deep episodes of the series. I especially like the weird callback to "HU-U-U-U-U-MU-U-U-US!"
I wonder, though. It's probably coincidental, but I...
Long story short, the Syrian dictator pretty much is at war with his own people, and he's basically using gas that was banned by the UN quite some time ago on them and categorically denying it because Dictator. And it's the Middle East which means, no matter what anyone does, it results in...
This episode is one of those little side things I was hoping would pay off later. They set something like this up forever ago with Steven seeing his mother on video tape. Also great to have Sadie actually sing something for a change too, considering her voice actress. Seems most of the cast...
I honestly don't get why some critics are even in the critical field. If you don't get the appeal of the characters, why the heck are you reviewing them? That's even dumber than saying "this isn't exactly what I grew up with, so it's horrible." By all means, the Muppets deserve another shot...
I hate the algorithms that decide what your recommended videos are. You watch one video once and all your relateds are associated with that video. I watch one Peppa Pig thing only to pass it on here as an example of something, a promo at that, and for like several days, I get NOTHING but Peppa...
Unlike others, I feel this has the potential to be good. I like the idea of Bill Murray as Baloo at least. Baloo has always been one of my favorite Disney characters (Jungle Book and Talespin, natch). Only kinda words I can say about the cheapquel Jungle Book 2 movie was John Goodman did a...
I've been doing some thinking about the first sketch I put on here. The one I like to refer to as "Little Girl becomes TLC show subject." Now, whatever someone could say about that, the message wasn't fun nor friendly.
Now, specifically for comparison I'm putting up a similarly themed PSA...
Exactly. Those were things that were a long time coming anyway. They just got Luis back to a semblance of regularity with the bike shop. They usually just use Alan and Chris. Alan's probably taking on the older adult surrogate parent role from Gordon, while the others are more of the...
While not terribly terrible, I stumbled onto this "gem" today. A Book and tape of a Real Ghostbusters episode. The book isn't in the video, unfortunately, but the audio still speaks for itself.
SPOILER: Only the actress playing Janine bothers to sound like the character.
Now, I get it...
If there was one CN comic book they really should have collected into graphic novel form, it was the Space Ghost Coast to Coast comics. Not that horrible first issue they did in Cartoon Network Presents. The one where they try and fail at recreating the TV show's nonsense and (not making this...
When it comes down to it, sometimes kids can't act. I don't so much think that's the case here. It's like when they say the Star Wars prequels have wooden acting, or the same thing about the Last Airbender movie. Those are more of a case of bad direction. I'm really thinking that was the...
This has to be the first example of faux-interactivity in kid's shows (and not in the Ding Dong School/Mr. Rogers talking to the audience like a school room teacher type). And it works just as well as you'd expect.
The poem at the beginning is kinda fun, but the following well over 2 minutes...
Barney's a show that has a real stigma to it. In retrospect, it feels like a passive aggressive jab at Sesame Street's inner city setting by being a privileged suburban schoolhouse. And yet, the show looks and sounds much cheaper, especially with those accursed 90's synthesizers. And the...
It's infuriating because the writers themselves are ticked off because they built a whole world to make the games make sense, and by all means they made the best Western Mega Man lore there is. I once read this terrible Mega Man 2 novelization, and it was the most tediously repetitive thing...
After hearing that one of my favorite current comics has been unceremoniously pulled, I think I'm TOTALLY FREAKING over comic books now.
Maybe I'll stick around for the BTTF series from IDW. But other than that, I'm done.
I'm just going to say this.
Archie comics can freaking suck it!!!!!
They're so busy with their &^%$ Reboot Archie comics and piece of garbage tie ins to Sharknado that they've effectively killed their best comic in the line. Mega Man. Oh sure, there's a "hiatus" and a "reboot" which will...
I personally think this is a too many eggs in one basket situation. They announced all these live action reimaginings of their own versions of movies as soon as Maleficent hit. And something tells me they were darn lucky to a point. This will come crashing down on them at some point.
Yet...
There's a reason for that. Maleficent and Cinderella actually were big hits. Why not cash in on that?
It's hardly the first live action Jungle Book movie Disney has done, and frankly, I'll take this over that piece of garbage Jungle Book 2 movie. I was going to say Disney doesn't even own...
