If there's one thing I see taken for granted it's that the audience has the exact same sensibilities as the critics of the show here. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I don't see the mainstream audience leaving completely because "Jim would have done this this way and that that way." Some might...
The thing about wacky cartoons is with each and every new wacky cartoon the margin for error gets smaller. It's going to be compared to the wacky cartoon before it. Everything gets compared to Ren and Stimpy for example, and let's say what made the show fun ended about 3 and a half seasons in...
I don't think P&P's going to be successful. There's too much going on and yet nothing at the same time. It's a white noise of a show, actually. And though there are things I found kinda chuckleworthy, it feels like they're going the minimalism route and trying to hard at the same time. I...
I'd also hope to see a third season, and not see Dipper and Mabel leave the airwaves with their leaving Gravity falls. Yet, I get the feeling the showrunners would probably be okay with the series ending with the second half of summer because they've pretty much exploited some pretty big...
MT was so desperately trying to be a hip and 90's pop culture era-y version of the Muppet Show and failed at it. It has the guests and songs and skits format the old show did, but didn't capture what made the original special, all the while being a complete mess in its first season because it...
They've been pretty much hinting at this for years. It's 2015. We've had gay characters on television since the 70's. Bunsen's always been portrayed as a little dainty. Plus, Beaker's original puppeteer was a gay man. I don't see why this is an issue or why it should be.
I'd bet that half...
As long as it gets a second season, and even now I'm doubtful about it. Maybe there is something to the "casual fans want a carbon copy of the Muppet Show" thing. Though, that didn't exactly help MT at all. If this show doesn't make it, I'm giving up on these guys. Just totally. I don't...
Didn't think it would be that easy to find, actually.
But yeah. The video unfortunately had no description about who animated it.
Still, I barely see how those are lighters. And what's the girl lighter getting run over by? More abstract shapes? That's not a train.
Warner Bros is looking to lose a substantial amount of money off of Pan.
That's where it hit me.
The only successful version of Peter Pan from the last decade or so was Jake and the Neverland Pirates. And that's a spinoff type deal.
I swear there were at least 2 other Peter Pan movies that...
The new Chipmunks series owes its success to the Bagdasarians having complete creative control over it, and having the show produced a while ago for the international market, rather than partnering up with a major network. While that did stunt the show's American availability (certain cable...
Okay... rereading this thread, Mutt and Stuff is a production of the Kroffts. The crossover makes more sense, as does the design for the big dog puppetsuit guy.
That show was the magic rarity of no one knowing what they were doing with the show and having something wonderful come out of the nonsense. I'd say when they got to second season and they were more structured, a little bit of that magic flaked away. It was still a good show and all, but the...
I did some thinking about that, and knew this would be an issue with some. I noticed something in that sequence. You saw them sip drinks, but the only one that was visibly drunk is Pepe. And the only one with a legit hangover (no matter what shape you're in, staying up late and waking up...
Ehhh... no. Those articles on Cracked usually point out gaping flaws in movies and TV. Sometimes pointing out how unintentionally offensive something is. The Revenge of the Nerds one was frighteningly accurate. Rape is not romance. Stalking isn't romance. I usually have a bug up my butt...
I'd have to time a PBS kid's show exactly, but other than that, I think without sponsors they'd be able to have a nice smooth 25 minute ride at least. I don't imagine they'd have to cut too much out.
At the risk of double posting, I found this on a Cracked Photoplasty...

Charlie's become my favorite secondary character on the show, and I hope the appearance is one of many more. You gotta love how he had that much confidence in the bears and was excited to see them clobber the wolves, even though Panpan thought otherwise.
Yesterday's episode had some great...
That's the one thing I have issue with this show as well. Like charlietheowl said a couple pages back they cram too much into a half hour. Seems like they only really need an A and B plot, and the C plots should have been edited out. Plus, I really want to see some continuity of past subplots...
This series has gotten much better with every episode. While I liked the show so far, this episode was a vast improvement in terms of the Kermit/Piggy dynamic and that wonderful Statler and Fozzie storyline.
Seriously. That Fozzie subplot has been coming for years. I really like how Fozzie...
