Also, I can't believe we've gone all this way without mentioning Princess Calla from The Gummi Bears. She was real ahead of her time in that she was very adamant at avoiding princess-y things and even got her chance to shine in episodes like "You Snooze You Lose", and "Girl's Knight Out". Sunni...
That was mainly for Butterfinger's "90ish" anniversary celebration. Note that it's not "90th", as not even Nestle knows exactly when the candy was first sold.
Just learned about this, even though it's several months old: several Disney animators are getting together to create Hullabaloo, a series of traditionally animated shorts starring an action girl set in a steampunk universe. Funding on Indiegogo initially started off on only one short, but...
I also love how Star can easily hold her own in a fight despite being wacky and a bit ditzy. Even Mabel Pines can throw a mean punch when she gets the chance. :)
Preschool shows, at least on Disney Junior, seem to be exempt from this. I think this is mainly because the networks would get a lot of crap from parental groups if they advertised to their little ones.
It's also the same font used on the Muppets Studio logo.
I don't see why a 30 second theme can't be more reasonable. You get a nice advertisement for the show and enough time for the show itself. Plus, just use that time to take a quick snack or bathroom break. :)
Looks like Belson's dignity has further gone down the drain, no thanks to his mother disciplining him in an effective manner. Leave it to a parent to ruin things that you love forever. :D
And on the flipside, you've just gotta love how Mary Wendell successfully encouraged Clarence to help her...
What about one or more of the characters getting amnesia? Or even introducing robot clones? Might as well have them parody Star Wars while they're at it.
I think balancing out young Eddie's rebellious attitude with some of his more positive traits make him a more likable character overall.
Or when Wilbur Awdry, a known lover of the British Railways, complained about the lack of realism in some of the episodes of Thomas the Tank Engine compared...
This "more adult" feel for the show (as in, focusing on things relatable to adults like relationships and workplace troubles) sounds the most intriguing. And it seems like the backstage antics from TMS and MT we love so much will return, too. :)
I also like the jabs at political correctness and fear of frivolous lawsuits the show has overall, which is appropriate as those things started cropping up in the '90s.
I've seen one episode of GMW, and while I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, I'd say it's still a small step up from the usual crop of tweencoms they show. It at least has the continuity of BMW going for it.
Gotta love the epic comeback Eddie gave to one of his friends after he said some ignorant comment toward his country. This came after Jessica started worrying about being too Americanized and began insanely forcing Chinese culture upon her family, including demanding Eddie study China instead of...
I love how Star doesn't seem to be fazed by Brittney, the typical Alpha Bee-yotch of the school. The latter is just more fumed at that, thus making her look foolish.
