Inspired by a comment from our own Frogboy, over at the Muppet Mindset blog, I'm starting a medieval wig-hunt, in the tradition of the fight-for-freedom-from-flat-head-Kermit.
We're talking about Miss Piggy, and all the flat-haired, hair-straighteners, ear-lengthening blondes wigs she's had --...
Maybe it's just me...but as I walk through this world of ours, just doing normal every day tasks, I am suddenly hit now and then by the true hilariousness of old Sesame or Muppet jokes which I have only...just...got.
For example, I was talking about cowboys the other day, and mentioned, "The...
An utterly brilliant (in my opinion) interview with the wonderful Miss Piggy is here.
Highlights include her allusions to a Starbucks in her wardrobe, and a wedding dress designed by VeraWang.
With all this attention, is 2009 turning into the Year of the Pig?
Anther interview here in which...
I heard an interview on Radio 1 yesterday with This guy. Charles Ross -- a man who has a one-man show of Lord of the Rings in 70 minutes, and the entire Star Wars series in an hour -- and he explained that his next project might be "The Muppet Show."
I, of course, sat up and started...
Well, it seems that Muppets and Fashion are going hand in hand (flipper in furry paw?) these days, with retro t-shirts being sold in every clothing store these days (it seems). Along with Lady Gaga going gaga for Kermit and Animal based designs.
Now, it seems that Elmo has gotten into the...
Dear Prawn,
This is a message forwarded to you from the desk of one Mat B Regard (Commonly regarded as the worst actor to receive a Gramy for his portrayal of a really old woman) as well as a Sea Breeze award for Soaps of All Kinds:
"Memo: Louise, take down a letter and please tell that...
So...in an interview, Johnny Depp stated that he'd love to play a challenging role, and quoted one that he would love to play as: Carol Channing.
I, for one, can totally see him in the role...:search:
But, jeepers, does he have the peepers?
That's it.
It's been too long.
He's not coming back by himself.
We have to go and GET him back. I've packed posters: here and here, tape and some telephone poles, let's go get him.
Feel free to use this COme Home Snowth avatar located here to join the campaign trail.
I miss him. WAY too...
Hey guys! I have an important and maybe slightly life-changing Job Interview next week...I'm still trying to work out a time that both me and the manager are available, and I'm letting myself get all worried about it...Which I know I shouldn't, since it's not really in my hands at all.
Anyway...
I came up with a great title for a Muppets fanfic and I wanted help from prawnie to come up with something more to do with it! Basically the muppets meet Nixon! They are at the White House for a Press Conference with the President! And Miss Piggy falls in Love with him! But it is set in the days...
I'm struggling to do any different voices for girl puppets, except something heavily influenced by the vocal styling of Miss Piggy. Generally in her more aggravated state, at that...Anything else always seems to go too deep, but...well, constant Piggy voice is aggravating for anyone, and...
I was a huge...and I do mean HUGE...fan of that webisode-based show created by JHC...Does anyone know what happened to it? Or why it was created in the first place? It was one of the oddest things ever...but somehow fitted the web so well.
It really reminded me of MopFam, actually...
Is it just my imagination, or are Steve's Muppets always ending up in pain? Bean Bunny especially, has always been injured...it's just a side effect of being cute.
But watching MFS on TV today, it occurs to me that Rizzo also finds himself in Gonzo's company thrown, smashed, burnt...
It's not my custom to post about non-Muppet series here at MC...but I started watching Firefly today (there's a marathon of episodes on Sci-Fi) and I am pretty much in love with it...Has anyone else seen it? Does anyone else thing that it was trying to be Farscape and that Star Trek Enterprise...
For years, The Moppet Family has been synonymous with MC...It started as a joke in the Mp3 thread, and went on to become a phenomenon (do, do, doo do doo) for a while, then drifted into the halls of the old MC-CitComs (where it often holds parties with T*K*O and Muffins of Our Lives).
Now...
Just finished watching the new Dr Who special, Planet of the Dead, and have been hunting through spoilerific information about Tennant's finale episodes, coming up in November and December. Personally, I simply cannot wait!
I thought it was about time we had a Dr Who thread here, as I know...
I had a Muppet related dream last night. I was basically Kermit, from Letters to Santa, and I was entirely responsible for getting all letters to Santa who was in charge of Easter this year. I wasn't to read the letters, but I had to forward them on to Santa.
But one letter had a really...
"...seeing this for the first time."
Does anyone else get annoyed with the beginning of GMC where Kermit explains the movie and says, "Gee, I wish I were you people seeing this for the first time." That line has grated on me even when it really *was* the first time I was seeing the movie...
Hey,
I know you're rarely here...but if you do appear for this one day of the year, then I wanted this thread to be here waiting for ya.
Not only you the coolest person I was ever married to in a sitcom (there have been a few, I'm sure of it ;p) but you also revived MC fantasticly when you...
