Id rather see a thread get bumped than a section die off. These boards arent dead, but they arent terribly active either. Its more or less the same people posting in the same threads, often not Muppet related. Bumping an old thread is ok by me. But yes, spam of any kind is annoying.
Heck...
The service launches in approx 1 year. If there is still going to be a Muppet Show i would guess we would hear official word of it starting to film 6 to 3 months prior to the service going live. We already know about the clone wars show, but that is 3d animated so it takes more time to develop...
The fact they mentioned the shooting within the black friday story is terrible. It was like a foot note. They should have at least separated the two stories.
This was the first black friday in 10 years that I did not work retail. I didn't even attempt to leave the house as I am right next to...
The diamond Select line is on life support, but it ain't dead yet. Diamond just posted on their facebook that the Swedish Chef should be hitting comic shops this Wednesday. So anyone waiting to buy it in person, is comic book shops, is Chef figure, is time!
Having worked retail, I've noticed that Halloween decorations don't sell as much as they use to, though they still do ok. Christmas decorations sell much more. Generic fall decorations, like those one would use for Thanksgiving, are few and far between. In my neighborhood the only holiday I...
Why should they be with Disney no matter what? You'd rather the Muppets be with Disney and do nothing than, say, be sold to Dreamworks and start making content again?
Disney owning the Muppets feels nice. The idea that they will have financial support and longevity is great. But that is not...
Disney needs to do with the Muppets what they did with Power Rangers. Just let them go to a company that actually wants them. They simply do not fit the Disney brand and will never bring in the billions of dollars required for Disney to care about them. At this point I'd rather see them be...
I think that Thanksgiving has been diminished over time in part for political correctness and in part because it's not as special as it use to be to have a big meal. It's no longer PC to glorify the founding of the country due to the violence associated with it (kind of like Columbus Day)...
Well, for one it would have actually gotten made.
I think a Jim Henson Fraggle Rock movie would have had a visual update to the Fraggle World, much like they did with Follow That Bird. It would have been more expansive and detailed.
Instead of the fraggles going into "outer space" they...
So... is it just me, or does the new Detective Pikachu trailer look like the type of film Happy Time Murders should have been?
The movie is taking Pokemon, a childhood property, and making a realistic "gritty" buddy cop movie. They make jokes about the Pokemon like interrogating a Mr. Mime...
Unfortunately the last news release didn't even mention the Muppets. At the very least they should stream all of the Muppet content they have backlogged.
I enjoyed the show, but agree that Kermit was not Kermit. To be honest, I was never really a huge fan of Steve as Kermit, though i am a huge fan of Steve. The only production I really liked his Kermit in was MCC and MTI. Every other time Kermit seemed like her was either depressed or way too...
I really love Johnny Fiama and wish they would bring his character back. Of course he really works best with Sal who is very much a Brian Henson character that would be hard to recast, but I just loved Johnny so much. He's also one of my favorite Palisades figures as well, so I am use to him...
This is a hard question. On one hand I adore the classic outfit because it is how I know the character. On the other hand, it's a fairly dated look and it does make sense for Scooter to now be wearing hoodies. Of course being dated can turn into timeless like Bert and Ernie who really haven't...
I think Disney is actually doing less with them now than the JHC did with them. Pre-Disney they did AVMMC, KSY, MWoO, Muppet Party Cruise. They had a heavy merch presence in specialty stores and a critically acclaimed and fairly successful action figure line that made it to 9 series, although...
That was also 3 years ago and the Muppets had a TV show on the air. If they couldn't get them out then, I doubt they will get them out now. Short of a straight up Muppet Show reboot/revival I don't think we will see any major cash infused into the Muppets anytime soon.
The Muppets don't...
True. I think Eric sounds more like Oscar than Matt sounds like Big Bird and Big Bird is more like Caroll's actual voice. Matt is still pretty excellent though. When I first heard it back in the mid nineties I thought that Caroll just had a cold the day he recorded.
