Classic Sesame Street clips on YouTube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_pu1HwiTOE Elmo Saves Christmas is now on Youtube. Here's a link to the part with the brand-new Sesame Street News Flash. I also downloaded that part, edited it so only the Kermit reporter scene is in, got rid of the newer NEWS FLASH logo and replaced it...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

This season gave me my first glimpse at the new Gladys the Cow. I must say, while it's good to see the character back in action, I don't really like her new voice. It makes her sound, well, too feminine. The woman performing her does a great job with Cleo the Lion (on "Between the Lions"), but...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Episode 4158 was pretty cool. Elmo was a lot like his early 1990s self in that one. Also, they made a weird mistake: they played the nighttime music when Abby announced the sponsors!

Non-SS Muppeteers you'd like to see on SS more often

I'd love to see Camille Bonora return to the show, and I'd also enjoy seeing more Bill Barretta. If they ever decided to have the Muppet Show gang make a guest appearance on a "Sesame Street" episodes, then we could get all these Muppeteers!

    Why isn't Skeeter a Muppet?

Since Janice was always performed by a man (mostly Richard Hunt), they got Dave Coulier to voice Janice there.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Maybe it's because the reruns are a two-parter. We might get the new episode on Friday instead.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

I must admit while I enjoyed the three little pigs concept in Episode 4145, I thought the whole "Rock Paper Scissors shoot" running gag was a little annoying. It always went like: "RockpaperscissorsSHOOT! Paper, paper. TIEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Disney Channel Preps for Muppet "Mini Movies"

I think they're going to be maybe half-hour or hour long TV specials starring the Muppets. If that's the case, I'd like to see them do one where they search for Scooter's long-lost twin sister Skeeter!

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Another classic Henson Ernie skit! (well, probably from the 1980s but it still counts)

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

I still have the feeling that all the "Word on the Street" segments were shot in just one day or even two. Maybe when they started, the first thing they shot was Murray's "Hi! I'm Murray from Sesame Street, and I'm looking for... the Word on the Street!" Then they shot the title card, got out...

The "Next Muppet on Family Guy" thread

Well, "Chris Griffin" WAS the one who created Robot Chicken! At least with that show, we get an actual Muppeteer in the voice cast (Victor Yerrid)

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

It was cool to see "Things That I Remember". I count it as classic since Jeff Moss wrote it and it has Frank Oz's Bert. "American Monster Classics" was also pretty cool. The ending where Cookie Monster eats the sign and then his tie was reminiscent on how he'd eat his pipe at the end of the old...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Who voices the CGI Twiddlebugs? It sounds like they are voiced by Muppeteers with the voices speeded-up. One member said it sounded like the father was now voiced by Jerry Nelson!

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

I think the "Air" clip is from the 1980s... usually when it comes to re-running skits, Sesame Street uses post-1980 material.

    Current episodes without Elmo's world...

And the only human cast members that are still on from since 1969 are Bob McGrath and Loretta Long. So far there's been no new material with Bob this season, and there was a cameo by Susan in Episode 4138. Then again, Luis and Maria have had the same actors since 1971, and we still have Fran...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Leslie also performs Prairie Dawn's mom in "Sesame Beginnings." BTW, is this so far the only Global Grover they've shown this season?

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

I guess most of the classic material they show here are post-1980 skits, what with that "Air" song.

    "The Witches"

I love this movie too. I thought it was funny when a witch, disguised as a chef, samples the "tainted" soup and transforms into a mouse. Then she runs into the dining area warning the other witches, "Don't touch the soup! The formula's in it!" The other witches ignore the warning and think it's...

How many muppets lived on the original Sesame Street?

Mr. Johnson and Harvey Kneeslapper didn't join until 1971. When the show first started, they only had the Green, Fat Blue, Pumpkin, Orange Gold, Lavender and Purple Anything Muppet patterns. Then in 1970, they designed the Large Lavender Live Hand puppet, and then in the mid-1980s came the...
