Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

I've noticed about the zero episode, that worm professor only just babbled in the "Slimey to the Moon" episodes from 1998, but here he speaks perfect English! Also, I found the Zero's voice a bit annoying. (No offense to those Joey Mazzarino fans. :halo: )

    Elmo's World-free episodes don't go over

I grew up with Elmo, and this was 1989-1993.

    Elmo's World-free episodes don't go over

I seem to prefer the 2002-present "Elmo's World" segments, and besides, I'm used to seeing it as part of the show now, at least on 2000s-era episodes. But I do think that the new eMail segments are better than the old "made a video with THIS camera" segments. In those ones, Elmo seemed like he...

    Elmo's World-free episodes don't go over

I say they should do episodes with the three-to-four-part street story like those two episodes, but include Elmo's World anyway. That can make us fans happy. OR... if there is an Elmo-heavy episode, then don't do Elmo's World. If there is an episode without Elmo in the street scenes or in any...

Old School Volume 2 coming November 6

I dunno. I know the BMI registry calls the Sesame Street News theme music the "Kermit News Theme," but many people refer to it as Sesame Street News or Sesame Street News Flash. BTW, cool sketch list, even though is only one bonus Super Grover skits. And I was also expecting the bonus News...

Classic Sesame Street clips on YouTube

Or, if you've got a PC, then you can get Pinnacle Studio or Adobe Premiere Elements for $100 to get iMovie-style video editing.

    Why isn't Skeeter a Muppet?

And Baby Piggy was voiced by a woman, so her voice sounded odd (I'm more used to a man voicing Piggy), but not as odd as Baby Gonzo's girlish voice.

    The "Upstairs, Downstairs" debate!

OK, ever since the "Upstairs, Downstairs" Monsterpiece Theater classic has been re-uploaded to Youtube, this has started an odd debate. JonnyTBird and a few others claim that it is from 1978 and the first Monsterpiece Theater made, according to the packaging of an Alistair Cookie doll...

Old School Volume 2 coming November 6

Finally, there will be the full Telephone Rock on DVD. And it's nice to see an uncut News Flash that ISN'T going to be one already released on the "Big Bird's Story Time" video (like the "Rapunzel" and "Humpty Dumpty" skits).

    Muppet Babies opening sequence question

They didn't redub Animal and Bunsen and Skeeter's voices for the second opening, but for some reason they re-did Nanny's line (it still sounded like Barbara Billingsley voicing her). The copy of the old opening commonly seen on Youtube had the second version of the opening theme dubbed onto it...

    Muppet Babies opening sequence question

I know the second season had the old 1984 opening, so I'm betting the newer intro debuted in the third or fourth season, but most likely the fourth.

    Muppet Babies opening sequence question

I have a question about a particular "Muppet Babies" opening title sequence: I know the one commonly seen on Youtube (starts with Baby Rowlf on the piano, Fozzie on the rocking horse, etc.) was from the first and second seasons, but when did THIS opening first be put into use...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

That sounds pretty neat. A friend of mine told me that fire thing actually happened in the early 1990s even though he didn't remember the plot. The Ernie and Bert line was funny, though.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Wow, the tornado was played by Jerry Nelson? I didn't know he did work in post-2000 "Elmo's World" segments! (even though this one was from 2002) Similarly, the East Branch library in my city has an old civil defense siren near it, which might've actually been meant to be used as an alert if...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

So far, it seemed like the most widely-used humans this season were Gordon, Alan and Maria. Also, Miles didn't many any appearances this season! But at least we got a new appearance by Bob; I guess they were saving him for last. Now it's also over with the... Hi! I'm Murray from Sesame...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

I, too, enjoyed the reshoot of "Rubber Duckie." I think it was done in 1998, and it might've been Steve Whitmire operating the Ernie puppet, lip-synching it to the original Jim Henson recording. And I also liked the new "Elmo's World," mainly because Super Grover was helping out in this one...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Which season was the episode with the apartment on fire? The 1980s, I presume?

What sketches scared you as a kid?

You mean the one when Hoopers' store has a fire? It was pretty dark and realistic, and it had really tense music that reminded me of the Mysterious Theater theme. But I thought I heard that there was an episode where 123 Sesame Street caught fire. When was this episode, and can someone give me a...
