I liked the roles Miss Piggy played in Oz. That was one of the big crowd-pleasers about the project - the whole four witches/girl group thing.
I do think Janice is underutilized, but she really is the only other big-name female Muppet. I think she's considered a one-note character, but...
Which Fozzie do you mean?
Terry has changed the eye ratio since the initial Convention photographs. Are those the ones you are referencing or is it the newest third/final attempt listed on the MR forum? :o
Personally, I think the bear's the best so far if he comes out like the final...
Yeah, that's how almost every company of that sort does it, but usually the prototype pictures look much better than the job MR has done with Animal & Gonzo. :smirk:
If they have an opportunity to swap out the photographs for the current Gonzo product they should take it. Extrememe Muppet...
I think the song was written in a "green-smoky" basement, not the Swinetrek. I have little doubt the performers believed they were aboard the Swinetrek.
That's usually the case, but the Gonzo pictures really are terrible. Prototype photos used to sell products should and usually do look better than that. Proto photos often look better than the final mass produced product.
I understand what normal business practices are for this sort of...
I know they're going with a brighter, pinkish-purple suit color as pictured on their site (rather than the Convention photos). There are many theories on why that is, but official word is that it's closer than the Disney provided PMS suit color and also makes the classic suit more modern and...
I agree. And these new collectibles, though expensive and conceptually derived, are much better than the underwhelming Sideshow/Weta dolls that killed store interest in stocking Dark Crystal items for a while.
It would be nice if they made inexpensive figures like the Goblin King Labyrinth...
That's the question isn't it? What was done to Gonzo and exactly when was it done?
I have a feeling that changes were made to the nose sock after the letters were sent. It might not have changed because of them, but I do think (and hope) some action was taken. Right now I think MR is more...
The more I think about it, since Disney changed DVD design companies they could be planning a more complete Season One SE release upon completion? It's a possibility. Maybe DVD company expense and expertise had something to do with rights negotiations and that has been cleared up with the new...
I took a stab at designing Muppet Show Nigel. I felt Droop should come before a Muppets Tonight Nigel as they are kind of in the same ballpark design.
The Pepe tutu design was from Muppets From Space. The full-body poser picture is incorrectly labeled as coming from Henson. It was a...
Laszlo's work is so much better than what Mindstyle is releasing. They're stuff is cool, but very expensive and not very accurate - even as drawing-based figures. Most Dark Crystal fans I know don't have the kind of cash to blow on the Mindstyle stuff, especially if it doesn't resemble the film...
There is a background/group theater shot in The Muppet Movie where Sam's feet can be seen as blue. I believe he is also featured in the Muppet Show Book drawings sporting blue feet. The Jim Henson Company settled on yellow feet for Treasure Island and in their design books for licensors...
Thanks, this is just the pose I thought they'd have because there's just more personality to it. The other looks like a poser.
I hope they alter it a little. As stated, I'd get it in a brown paper bag as long as it has the episodes! LOL!
Fixed the link. I was thinking season four should...
There's so much to say, but I'm staying silent. He he.
I am still amazed by my Animal and Kermit replicas. They've never looked better! And if you've seen the new cover art for Muppet Show Season Three DVD coming this May, you will notice the depicted Fozzie poser pales in comparison to...
See, I thought and was hoping so. Let's hope this is a sign that Disney has ironed out any rights wrinkles for future releases and plans to keep plugging away.
Thank you for this great news and on such a horribly rainy day outside. I probably won't even notice anything but the Muppet theme humming in my head all day!
The cover art, well...I was expecting Fozzie to be peeking out from behind his TMS logo-filled hat kind of like this, but this will...
Animal's rope is tied to his pants, but the pants to come off. Not that I've tried really! His shirt also can be removed. MR wouldn't do something inconsistent with Fozzie. I'm expecting Gonzo to also be changeable. :concern:
This is more about the movie than Ledger, but one cable news channel was reporting that Jack Nicholson was upset at Nolan, The Dark Knight and Ledger for not allowing him to "reprise" his role which is ridiculous. Not only does it not make sense in the new world of the Batman, it also doesn't...
