Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
Now the new episodes are airing where I am again! They're not bad at all, though I have to admit "Murry Has a Little Lamb" does get a little tiresome, but unlike "Elmo's World" I think this will only last a few seasons like "Journey to Ernie." The rap theme is a little annoying, with those rap...
Yep. TMS's "Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland" also has really good Disney-like animation to it. I didn't even realize it was an anime movie until a few years ago! It reminds me of the animation in the first season of "The New Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh" (also animated by TMS, until Wang...
Agreed! But instead they chose to feature almost NO Elmo in the Elmo's World-free episodes!
This season so far we've had quite a few street stories without Elmo, so it makes sense to have Elmo's World in those episodes.
I thought the 1987-1991 episodes were animated in Korea by Akom Productions, not in Taiwan! If it was outsourced to Taiwan, I bet Wang Film Productions and Cuckoo's Nest Studios would've done the animation.
As far as Toei's work on Muppet Babies goes, in the first season it didn't look as...
The costumes they used for the babies look just like the Muppet Babies when they were on "The Muppets Take Manhattan!" I wonder if that was intentional? Whatever the case, seeing the Muppet Babies in true Muppet-like form is really cute, especially Baby Gonzo and Rowlf :excited:
Agreed. Dave did a great job as Baby Janice. It sounded just like Richard Hunt doing the voice! And the valley girl personality Janice is famous for even worked as a toddler!
A good friend of mine and I are doing a MST3K-type series of YouTube videos we call "Golden Book Video Killers." It is hosted by Disney's Grumpy and WB's Daffy Duck (brought to life via Chuckimation) who riff on those old Golden Book Videos (the ones with the cheesy limited partial animation...
I haven't been able to see any of the other new episodes after 4165! My schedule guide had all the episode names mixed up, and they've been just airing Season 38 episodes! (I can tell because they use the same opening shot of Murray Monster over and over, while the Season 39 ones use different...
Well, I'm gonna be going on my cruise tomorrow through Saturday, and I saved some space in the DVR to record the two episodes. I will also not be online these days either.
Until then, Bon Voyage to you guys! :D
I actually LIKE that Aaron/Ernie version of the song, mainly because they reused the original Jim Henson voice track for Ernie's singing in the new footage. Combining the sweet music and Henson's beautiful Ernie's singing voice with Aaron Neville works really well, IMHO.
So am I! I'm going...
I just realized something. Today's intro shot for "The Word on the Street" (different from yesterday's intro) showed what might possibly be the first appearance of a modern crosswalk signal without words (the orange hand and white body) on Sesame Street! Hopefully they'll talk about this soon...
Watching my recorded copy of the episode so far.
The new Word on the Street skit wasn't so bad. I can see they even shot a new Murray intro for this season to replace the old Season 38 Word on the Street intro!
The opening sequence (reused from Season 38) appeared to be in much higher...
I noticed that some of the long-running recurring Sesame Street sketches that used title cards had them replaced or modified over time. I will list the ones I know...
SUPER GROVER
1973-1992 title card:
The most well-known intro, where we start on a close up of the "G" shield as we zoom out...
WOW!
I've never been so excited at looking forward to a new Sesame Street season before! Here are some things that got me hyped up:
* It will be taped in high-definition.
* A newly-built version of the set will make its debut.
* Jim Henson's Creature Shop will be involved, probably with...
I am surprised I didn't post on this forum about this video yet!
Last summer I bought this Golden Book Video at a used video store called "Herbert the Timid Dragon and Other Tales." It's a lot like the Sesame Street Golden Book Videos. I wrote a RetroJunk article about it...
I guess the reason why Joe Alaskey is Daffy Duck's current voice actor is because of how he did such a good job voicing Plucky Duck. Incidentally on Tiny Toons, while Jeff Bergman and Noel Blanc were doing the classic LT characters on Tiny Toons, Joe Alaskey voiced Marvin the Martian on the...
She was also on the Full House episode "But Seriously Folks." I think my favorite performance by her would have to be Great Aunt Mitzi in "Hey Arnold."
