Another film I feel doesn't deserve the rating it got was the 2009 animated film 9. It was rated PG-13, but its lack of blood and swearing feels more appropriate as a PG.
Pistol: Daddy, did you ever think about lowering your prices and selling cars that run good?
Pete: (laughs) Oh, obviously, you don't know nuttin' about business!
- From Goof Troop, where Pistol calls out her dad's shady business practices.
From the Cinema Snob and TV Tropes' "So Bad It's Horrible" page, we have a kids' film from 1965 that must have been the inspiration for Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny and The Oogieloves, and that is Fun in Balloon Land. Frightening balloons, stilted acting, terrible pacing, and abysmal camera...
Today's episode of Millionaire had a Sesame Street-related question about what the name of Sonia Manzano's character was, with the answers being "Maria", "Susan", "Linda", and "Gina". Thankfully, the contestant got it right despite knowing very little about the show, earning him $5,000.
I don't think Billy's singing is that bad, honestly. But yeah, maybe if the song was sung in a lower key, he wouldn't have to strain himself to reach those notes.
The female singers are pretty good, though, as is the instrumentation. And I do like the use of stop-motion puppets in the background.
Pam has now broken up with Benson over their long-distance relationship. And in return he has befriended a floating rock girl who runs a french fry truck, and she has the hots for him.
Anyone else see this show yet? After seeing the first two episodes, I'm already hooked. I really enjoy how Milo is a jinx, yet everything works out for him eventually thanks to his optimism and over-preparedness. I also really like how his friends enjoy being with him in spite of this.
I gotta say, I also like the little touch of Vambre occasionally using British terminology like "zed" instead of "zee", or calling the Flashlight Magisword a "torch" (to which her brother corrects her on). There's some nice witty dialog in this show that I've noticed. :)
CN's little webseries-turned-full series about a sibling mercenary duo and their seemingly endless arsenal of magical swords has begun to grow on me, even though I feel it could use its expanded run time more to develop characters and tell deeper stories, maybe even slow down its rapid-fire...
SoZ is really starting to prove itself with episode #3. We get a great A-plot with Alan struggling to defend himself against a bully, and an amusing B-plot with Zorn getting back at a delivery man for stealing a bottle of hot sauce from the break room. The former provides some nice character...
That Miss Peregrine movie that seemingly came out of nowhere took the top spot, followed by Deepwater Horizon. Storks has sunk to 4th place, and is a domestic disappointment for Warner Bros.

We should be thankful it didn't use any analog synth music, even though I really enjoy that sort of stuff. That would have added to the dated factor immensely! :)
