I think of all the animal groups on TMS the pigs were probably the most well used in numbers because they were so easily adaptable to human like situations even able to wear clothes like people and act like people would.
Out of interest is anyone able to give me a detailed list of all the songs...
Any of you find the soundtrack of the french version of TMS included on season one interesting or enjoyable?
From the little bits and pieces I've seen it seems that the guest stars musical numbers were always shown in English and the rest of the show more or less dubbed into French.
For the...
Would anyone like to share with me the things that happened on Season one that were their absolute favourites?
Mine were : the panel discussions
the sherlock holmes sketch in Joel Gray
the furniture monsters newsflash in Vincent Price
the...
Harvey Kneeslapper was a very funny character.
As far as I seem to recall the jokes he played that didn't backfire were the ones which resulted in a letter or a number being slapped upon someone's shirt or head. But all other jokes went wrong for him. If anyone knows of any exceptions to this...
It amazes me that Lefty's boss never gave him a bawling out for always allowing Ernie to out-scam him all the time.
He should have said, "Lefty don't be such an idiot. That kid is obviously no pushover. Stop trying to do business with him and find some better suckers."
I saw this skit once. It was remarkably done. Just imagine the steps or ramp or whatever it was that the Muppeteers must have had to have been scaling in order to make it look like the characters were ascending the mountain set.
And the song was beautiful too.
WHY DO WE ALWAYS COME HERE?
I GUESS WE'LL NEVER KNOW!
IT'S LIKE A KIND OF TORTURE
TO HAVE TO WATCH THE SHOW!
Masochists of the world eat your hearts out.
My friend, if you are meaning to imply that Sully really was mute then you have the characters gender confused.:o
I'm sure I will have heaps of agreement from my fellow forum members that Sully was male.
Actually I'm pretty sure that the name of that song is 50 Ways to Leave your Lover.
I recall in the cold opening Paul Simon pulled a lever which opened up a trapdoor that Pops plunged down into.
Then Paul looked at the camera, smiled and said "I love it. In fact I know 50 ways to love your...
I remember one time when Biff asked Sully to recite the alphabet but every time Sully opened his mouth Biff would rattle off a part of it instead and poor Sully looked hurt. This is an interesting point because in most of their appearances Sully seemed to be portrayed as a genuine mute man...
Of course there were no guests who genuinely disliked being on the show.
I remember reading on a post somewhere that Gorgon Heap said by the time of season 2 or at the latest 3 there was an actual waiting list for being a guest star. Would anyone put their name on such a list if they believed...
That's an unusual sort of reply.
You wouldn't happen to be referring to the goat sneaking up from behind and pushing the poor pigs off the alps with a bump would you?;) :D
I was given the Season One dvd TMS collection for last Christmas by my brother and watching the episodes made me think about a point I've always noted about our two favourite hecklers :boo: and
Of course the big running gag of the entire series was that these two old gentlemen couldn't...
An excellent job. All five of them are very good.
I just wish they really had produced best songs of the season specials along the sort of lines you've thought out. They would be a real treasure for Muppet fans to track down on video or dvd.
Oh well. What you have given us is better than nothing.;)
Hello everybody.
I just thought I'd try to start getting to talk more with all you guys by asking if any of you like Bill the Bubble Guy as much as I do.
I thought he was an extremely imaginative new character and very clever the way he was rigged up to blow bubbles out of the top of his head...
Thank you for your answer Dave.
By the way, just for the record my name isn't really Bill. It's Martin.
I just chose my user name because of my favourite character.
I thought it certainly wouldn't hurt to let all the folks know my real name. I know others do it such as yourself Dave.
Anyway I...
Does anybody suppose that the novel Gulliver's Travels may have formed some subtle inspiration to Jim for the concept of his Fraggle Rock characters?
I think the sizes of the little people of Lilliput and the giants of Brobdingnag and poor old Gulliver in the middle would probably correspond...
