I like the Muppets.com stuff, but find the YouTube stuff is the Muppets at their most classic, simple and abstract. You must not have enjoyed such numbers on the Muppet Show either (Gonzo with his dancing cheeses etc). Kermit's Kimmel bit was quite a while ago. The recent appearances of Kermit...
Oooh! This is exactly what fans have been wanting from the Dark Crystal - not stylized urban vinyl, busts, creepy gelfling dolls or other such weird expensive items. This is a magnificent-looking prototype and I know from the Goblin King that Neca delivers on quality. :scary:
Wow! Thanks for sharing Mr. Edwards! You are welcome here any time. It's nice to know the Fraggles are in good hands. The new Karen Prell Red short for season four sounds interesting. Anything you can share? :excited:
I'm also looking forward to Hoodwinked 2: Hood vs. Evil (as long as...
You're exactly right. The Muppet Babies program was always on - and it made up for most of the Muppet branding saturation for years. I believe the branding confusion came from poor strategy from the Henson Company at the time. It turned into the Muppets’ primary brand and that was an unintended...
The Muppet performances of late have been top notch in most other fans eyes. You obviously haven't been seeing the YouTube clips, Muppets.com segments or any of the recent interviews.
The Muppets are back, dude, and they're not relegated to the kiddie market as you suggest. I don't see why...
The Olympics is about unity, achievement and tradition. Yeah, it can get irritating when regular shows are bumped later, but it's a rare occasion for such a small inconvenience.
Olympians don't do this for the money. There's a lot more cash in the world to be made requiring a lot less work...
Oooh. Pictures please! Here's a candid shot of exactly how my Animal looks right now. :halo:
I finally trimmed some of his moustache aftet much debate. I know this version better reflects the recent Animal, but I favor the classic fella and this helps make him look more like the TMS DVDs...
For better of for worse the Muppet Babies did actually take attention away from the classic Muppet gang because there was little actual Muppeteering going on at that time. The Muppets take Manhattan sort of ended most of the actual Muppets wide-scale exposure. The film paved the way for the...
I am still very impressed with the Muppet performers as of late. It appears that only Studio DC is being singled-out. In recent interviews, Muppets.com and YouTube clips the Muppets have found a new snap and wit that calls back to years past. I’m not certain in you’ve seen all of this Frogster...
:wisdom: It's possible I said this before, but it's worth repeating.
:search: It has been studied that pre-school age children laugh about 300 times a day while adults laugh only about 15. I think that's terrible. Laughter actually provides a gentle work out and deep cleansing breaths. It...
I think you hit the nail on the head there. Jim is gone and it took a while for the Muppets to find a post-Jim voice that still honored his work. They've finally done that, but some people will never be pleased. I am pleased. Trilled with the recent YouTubings, interviews and site clips.
It has been stated many times:
This was less an actual special and more of a much needed “meet & greet” commercial to introduce the Muppet brand to Disney’s core demographic in a language they understand and with people they are familiar. It is in no way a sign of Muppet projects to come...
I agree with you here. Even MC has a way of getting heated at times. It's the way of forums. But here we tend to end up having one another's back - or that's how I see it.
The Muppet performers are doing a great job! The DC script wasn't the best, neither was the quick-shot direction, but...
:attitude: Most game shows are about exploiting the "little guy" for ratings. This has become more grossly evident with reality programs like Big Brother, Survivor and the Bachelor. My life isn’t that interesting, but I feel no need to live vicariously through half-naked, cap-toothed pretty...
I have been looking forward to this film for a while. I wonder how it will stack up compared to Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas? :flirt:
The Clips:
Exlusive RT clip of the film and a YouTube Teaser Trailer.
The Pitch:
A high-definition stop-motion animated feature – the...
The news division is considered a different company. This pleases both sides as Hollywood isn't a fan of Fox News and Faux News doesn't have to agree with a lot of the films created and distributed by 20th Century Fox. (Like the sensational snarkiness of Reno 911!: Miami and Borat, the...
Hmmm. So it is a Muppet Show characters special? I'm thinking that Disney saw the success of Elmo's Christmas Countdown and decided to follow suit with the Muppets they own. Let's hope it's tongue-in-cheek. Let’s also hope (if it is a Muppet Show cast special) that it premiers on ABC primetime...
I would like to see more of classic characters like Scooter and Rowlf utilized and integrated into the core once more. In recent years Rizzo, Pepe and Clifford kind of took over their duties and/or visibility. Clifford has been all but phased out so he's not that much of an issue. Steve appears...
 Pepe is my favorite Muppet newcomer. But hey, I suppose he's not that new anymore? Pepe's been around for over 12 years now (and he fits in so well it's like he's always been there). He’s got all those hands; it was only a matter of time before one of them wrote a book.
:attitude...
