Why bother posting on a forum board? Why bother doing anything? Because the conversation about such possibilities can be fun. Why bother questioning the fun of others?
I was gonna say "adult" made it sounded like something else. :D Adult collectors are generally considered those above the teen years (20+).
However, I don't agree with the pitch of this article. It makes the assumption that such collecting is a mark of arrested development when I find the...
My statement reported that cast member Michael Caine had been reading these statements and had heard from insiders that it was already a done deal. I think that part was missed on your reply.
:search: I still don't put too much faith in his assumption or the trade publications -...

The yellow and white Muppet Central logo appears against a black background. It fades out and is replaced by the words “we remember” against a silhouetted Manhattan sky line with the Statue of Liberty on the far right and the twin towers in the middle. The words fade out as...
The actual sleeves encased in the binded enclosure cam get easily damaged? I don't see how that would happen from any of the sleeved sets I own. Two particularly nicely done recent sets with laminated sleeves that I own include the Gilmore Girls and AbFab. Beautiful treatments that are great...
Discs are being made more cheaply in Mexico these days. It is not uncommon for reputable shows and companies to release defective discs. When purchasing a set it is best to keep the receipt and make sure all the discs and episodes play. 20th Century Fox has had its share of problems in this...
I don’t know of anyone who has had trouble with sleeves, but have known many a disc to get damaged in other ways. I believe the idea that the plastic shells protect the discs from scratching is a myth. I have a huge (yep, huge) collection of season and series sets. I have found the plastic...
Sleeves are a good and common way to manage the space of a 20 disc set. Plastic holders are actually a cheaper, less thoughtful way to go. They would also make the housing larger and that would take up more shelf space and increase the number of shipping boxes needed for store orders. This would...
Apparently Michael Caine is reporting that it is his understanding Johnny Depp and Phillip Seymour Hoffman have been cast in the sequel as the Riddler and the Penguin. Rotten Tomatoes had a link about that having Caine citing both insider exec knowlege along with what many trade papers have...
I understand how the business works. Actually most of the work has been done on Fozzie and there are plenty of factories out there. Right now it really is about weighing quality and price. It's just a weird sort of product.
Just because we're not privy to everything happening with the...
I see what they are going for and it's not bad. I dig the curtain and the logo (along with the decoration around it). Half of the images are classic photographs (but not distractingly so) while others are more modern. A sort of old-meets-new. The newer ones are not my top choice, the classic...
That's 27.5 months that MR has to find a factory to make Fozzie and get him to market. The sky is not falling. At least not for a long while. Over two seasons of television programs will be shot, aired and have DVD sets resting on store shelves during that time. Major motion pictures are...
Why would time be running out? MR holds the Muppet poser license for quite a while and they've spent a lot of money in developing the model. I believe Fozzie will eventually come out, but beyond that is anyone's guess. :o
Back when I made these smilies we were really tightened around an individual emotional theme. They weren't to be mere stickers. Matching the emotions and trying to include everybody's favorites was a challenge. Now we have characters ranging from The Muppet Show, Muppets Tonight, Sesame Street...
I feel JHC has been spreading itself too thin with diversifying before rebuilding its foundation. The first thing out of the gate should have been the development of the Fraggle movie followed by maybe a Labyrinth video game or animated program (to accompany the fabulous Neca figures) followed...
True. There has been much talk about Sesame Workshop and the Disney-owned Muppets, but the Jim Henson Company doesn't have those to prop up their brand anymore. This thread is about how and what Henson is doing without these once crown-jewels. They have the fantasy properties, the Fraggles, some...
Iron Man fares a hair better than Indy in the domestic total, but nearly 60% of its box office came from overseas so worldwide it wins hands down. The listing most favored is usually the domestic one. Don't ask me why. But you're right as the real full total goes.
I agree with you there. Aside from Kate Winslet there was little that appealed to me about the film. I was so hoping the Dark Knight would beat it. There was a time when it seemed possible. :sympathy:
