It looks like I am going to have to (in one way or another) actually, physically join others in this movement. (Not on the forum, of course - in life.) I've dated a few of activists in my life and there is much I have found obnoxious, but this is a different more solid cause that is dear to my...
We are becoming a more globally conscious nation. I think that's a good thing. It is my view that such charitable contributions come back to help America in other ways. It has been said that Obama's Presidency will both focus globally on people while helping our country's economy here at home. I...
I doubt that Hit is even trying to ask Disney for permission. This DVD seems like a very cheaply done release. Also, I believe there could already be a contractual clause aiding Kermit's inclusion in classic Sesame clips that was inked at the time of the Disney Muppet sale.
Still waiting on mine. It was supposedly shipped last Monday, but since then there has been no word from UPS. My dissatisfaction with UPS is epic. I wish FAO would just use the postal service. It's much easier to pick up a package from a local station than the UPS headquarters. This is a...
I just noticed that Snowth has been around this current incarnation of the forum a year and a half shy of me and still has over 10,000 posts than I do. I just can't imagine him leaving. MC has a variety of people to please (not unlike the Muppet characters) so it is impossible to keep everyone...
Well, from what I remember the Kermit parts are very brief. He shows up in Santa gear atop a house and slips down the chimney to introduce the special. He then shows up at the end to sing along. I believe that's it. It's only about two minutes and not really needed, but having seen the program...
(Just to make sure you know that I'm not upset with you at all.)
I support balance. It’s just that if you listed bible verses then I or someone else would cite scientific and historical data to contradict it and so forth. That’s not what has been going on in any of the posts in this thread...
I swear four years ago when Kerry lost the sky turned gray that day and it was the beginning of winter in this city. It was kind of strange.
My family is depressed about the Democrat win. You do know I'm a native Houstonian. Born, raised and lived most of my first 18 years there. Man, it is...
I certainly get you. My statement was just to clarify my reasons for including the aftermath of prop 8 in this thread as I could see how it isn't totally about Obama, but it will be something he'll have to deal with. Heck, I'm still dealing with these froggin' helicopters flying over all the...
:sympathy: Dude, most of us know Christian theology's stance on gay people. That was never the issue. Again, the issue at hand is that we shouldn't all have to follow Christian teachings in order to have civil rights in America. Following such teachings is a choice and I’ve made my very informed...
I liked it. It's like Toy Story meets Sesame Street meets Muppet Babies...kinda. That's the short of it. Actually it is quite different and parts of it are a little on the kid-friendly side, but it's a sweet special that I would recommend to anyone. And Dave Goelz plays the lead character. Can’t...
Sweetums is more a Muppet of action than of talk. I would suggest including a character or characters he can respond to rather than have him talk so much. I'm sure it will be good. :)
But they don't enforce anything. It is the copyright holder's duty to pursue the matter from beginning to end. The FBI doesn't really do much of anything as far as copyright law is concerned. However, they do have that nifty warning for home videos. :wisdom:
I refuse to believe that Hit and Henson can't get these Kermit cameos/introductions included in these DVD releases. Heck, give Disney a bonus trailer for one of their projects on the DVD release. Hit seems more interested in turning a quick buck than keeping the fans happy these days. I'm glad...
I believe the intention is environmental rather than economical. I always get upset with how easily jewel cases can crack. I kind of like the cardboard sleeves and cases because they remind me a little more of classic albums - just miniaturized. The big problem today is that nobody's buying...
The idea of a Mr. Hooper Barbie is as intriguing as it is strange. I'm curious.
Honestly, I would like to see a Caroll Spinney figure with a Big Bird costume that could be snapped on. that could be interesting. :wisdom:
