What if Disney bought Sesame Street too.

Just a funny little thing people forget about. Jim Henson & Disney's The Little Mermaid. Interesting, but off topic, I know. Just interesting to see Henson fingerprints on something Disney.

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

(pokes in because there are no customers in the store) Tough Pigs' Joe Hennes wrote a very thoughtful overview of his peek at the Fraggle script. I can't wait for his view of Segel's Muppet Movie. Boober's cap off to Tough Pigs Joe! :excited: Anyway, I can't imagine Steve and Dave sitting...

Maybe try downloading the latest flash plugin again and restart your computer. You can find it on the adobe site.

Disney greenlights "The Muppet Show" comics

(pokes head in after an earned break) The writing is the best it has been since the days of Jerry Juhl. I don't take that lightly. I can actually see much of this as storyboarded material for a new Muppet television program. The character inclusions, layout and colorizations are top...

    Ask Ken at Palisades

I remember Angus Mcgonagle going on the original lineup and the idea was revisited later. Sal, Mahna Mahna, the Snowths, another Dr. Teeth, Pajama Animal, Beaker single re-release, Vets Hospital cast, Muppet Wizard of Oz cast, Bobo, Mulch, Seymour & Pepe, the MTM Muppet Babies, Reporter Gonzo...

I just did. Very curious. :)

Disney greenlights "The Muppet Show" comics

Mupdate on the comics. Langridge's blog states that he is currently drawing issue # 3 (the Gonzo issue) and writing issue # 5. Hmm. Is that a typo for issue 4 or is there a Muppet Showcased character beyond Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo and Piggy? Who would it be? Rowlf, Scooter, Animal, Beaker, Sam or...

Unofficial Script Review of the New Muppet Movie

I suppose Johnny Fiama is so close to my heart because of my heavy involvement in his action figure. We got his likeness down so good that it was one of Palisades' best (if I do say so myself). ;) However, I understand why you don't like him. To me he is the Fozzie Bear of lounge singers. To you...

Unofficial Script Review of the New Muppet Movie

I agree with you. I'd rather Rowlf get more screentime than Pepe for the movie. I'm sure Pepe will rule the Halloween special and many other projects. I just think Pepe should be given more than three lines. I am still particularly disturbed by the lack of Scooter. Maybe Segel doesn't like thie...

Unofficial Script Review of the New Muppet Movie

I have a feeling that once Pepe hits the set that Siegel and company will allow him more adlib lines. I can't imagine them being able to resist that spicy prawn. Pepe is crucial to the Muppets because he is a good avenue that connects new fans to the property.

    I won't be posting anymore...

I hang around this forum quite a bit these days and have been known to help out other members with their Muppety needs from time to time. Yes, I do not like this thread, but it is necessary. My post count will likely drop a little soon and I want y'all to know that I am not leaving. I am just...

Disney greenlights "The Muppet Show" comics

I keep asking the same thing here and have yet to get an answer so I'll second your question. ;)

Why do playsets vary in cost?

Fewer Backstage sets were made. Scarcity is your answer. The backstage almost didn't come out. Palisades Toys went out of business shortly after that.

Unofficial Script Review of the New Muppet Movie

I'm mostly excited. I really like this idea so far. I wonder who really wrote this copy because it certainly wasn't Goelz as Gonzo. Being the same performer as BunsEn - he would not have misspelled the character's name. A nit-pick, I know, but this is a fan site so that's what we do. ;) I also...

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

Cory Edwards clearly states that he doesn't want his Fraggle film to be filled with kiddie-pop. It's safe to assume he also means Disney pop fodder too. I hope these big names are timeless pop song writers. Edwards seems to be on the right track so far so I trust him with this too. I doubt the...

    Henson Channel?

I have long felt that Henson.com isn't all it could be. I would enjoy seeing it turn into a media-based site that released new and old media to be viewed on a regular basis like a Henson Hulu. Maybe they could even produce some short sketches for the site like Muppets.com does, but with...

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

Imdb (not necessarily a reliable source) lists Fraggle Rock at 2011. Noting that shooting hasn't yet started, I believe that to be the theatrical target date. :coy:

    Master Replicas Kermit Conversion?

First of all, welcome to the forum. :) I do know that someone dissected the Kermit poser as can be seen on this blog. MR's Kermit poser proportions are slightly smaller than the puppet, however it would likely be the best way to get an authentic Kermit puppet. The issue would likely be with...

Muppet Whatnot from FAO Schwarz For Sale!

Both the Whatnots, the one he's selling and the one he's keeping, have eyes. KermieBaby just wanted to custom place the eyes on the one he intends to keep. That wasn't an option on the first one he ordered, but he somehow was able to work around that (by attending the workshop personally, I...

    Your Thoughts: Howard Tubman

I still miss the old vaudevillian aspect of the Muppet Show and the theater. If there were ever to be another Muppet television show I'd hope that it would still be set around the theater, yet not have it take "center stage" as it once did. Muppets Tonight's KMUP TV station setting seemed odd...
