Wow, that was quick! The MCFWGP has officially been announced! I am hopeful that this can work and will return MC to its roots as a fan content driven site with frequent updates. :)
I can help with a graphic or two when time is available. The MCFWGP has my full support. :super:
I agree with you. All the Muppets need are a good dusting off and a shine on their classic roots. Segel's passion and ideas have given me hope, but I believe a good Muppet project would be somewhere inbetween Lewis and Segel. Could be like chocolate and peanut butter. :o The thing is, we don't...
That was an interesting site. The CG element was a bit strange, but that site had so much potential. I think the Muppets significantly dropped their marketing push after MFS until VMX. That really was a dark time for Muppets, but this site flourished. ;)
The web is littered with ideas that...
Cool, I gotcha. Funny enough, I just signed a nondisclosure form this week pertaining to some client work. But that's all I can say, of course. :shifty: It's non-Muppety work though.
Muppets.com uses Flash in some very good ways and in some trickier, stickier ways too. I always try to make...
I trust Muppetguy's judgment that he knows what he purchased and who he purchased if from. He cites correspondence with Michele at puppet-planet in his first post on this thread. She reported sending pictures soon etc.
It isn't a case of mistaken identity from the information provided, but...
Dave Goelz is my favorite Muppet performer. Boober is my favorite Fraggle, Gonzo is my favorite Muppet and if he had been involved in Sesame as much as the Fraggles and Muppets his character would probably be my fave too. His chicken was the only good spot of Elmo and Grouchland.
Thanks Dave...
I have. It's kind of cool, but once is enough for me.
On another topic - the volume level resetting to blaringly loud with each new page on Muppets.com is an issue the designers should address. It's a fantastic site, but I would log in more frequently if the sound didn't just start up like...
I have heard that some Muppet designs have cost in the thousands, but it depends on the labor involved. A Kermit puppet wouldn't likely cost that much, but a Dr. Teeth could easily cost a fortune. Mass production would certainly cut down on cost per unit, but during the Jim era there was usually...
Oooh. If that is the case it's terrible. I think it's time for the Better Business Bureau etc. Why do some people think hiding solves the problem? Maybe she's working on your order...out of order? There's no excuse for bad communication or such a delay. :sympathy:
Oooh. Thank you. I have a friend with many back issues of DC Comics so I'll ask him. I'll certainly be looking this up. What a diverse selection of works. Thanks again. :super:
It seems that everyone longs for the day of Palisades Muppets. But speaking as a freelancer for a portion of the line, I am enjoying this diversification of the Muppets in figures. I have the Kubricks for Muppets and Sesame, I also have the Vinylmation Kermit and will get the rest of them (if...
Thanks for the update (commonly called in these parts as Mup-dates). :o
This question might have gotten lost back in the thread. What of your other writings would you recommend to Muppet & Henson fans? Thanks! :)
I hope you don't let this prevent you from doing your best either. I get all types of weird talkative people at work, but the thing is - at a niche toy shop it's my job to entertain these people. However, I have lost many a sale due to a talkative passerby that won't allow for other potential...
Yeah, that's the thing that's very interesting. These types of vinyls are usually marketed toward young adults. That gives me hope that Disney sees the Muppets as more than just a children's property. Or at least they want to include older fans this much! Still, some of us don't like the urban...
I do know that your Boom comics will eventually come and if you contact them they will respond. Mine took up to three weeks to get here. They are sluggishly slow to send them, but they did send an extra copy of comic one for the trouble.
I would expect that any supplier would be faster than...
Off the top of my head. Shows that left before their prime:
Pushing Daisies - just too good for the usual garbage reality programming and insipid doctor sex dramas on ABC.
Kings - when religious groups cry foul that television doesn't represent them, well they had a chance with NBC's...
Just a clarification about Urban Vinyl
Mighty Muggs are a brand of urban vinyl that contains all of those characters listed: Transformers, GI-Joe, Indiana Jones, Marvel properties and especially Star Wars.
:search: This urban vinyl craze of creating a uniform short squat body to wrap with...
Good luck. It's a difficult circumstance, but I'm sure you're not the first person to have that issue with her. You deserve to have a quiet space to work. There's nothing to feel bad about. :)
