Thanks for all the information. Maybe my comment has gotten lost in the mix, but I'd really like to know from someone in the know:
Comic Con Kermit Display = MR Kermit placeholder (10% smaller than accurate) + New Replica Reporter Kermit Outfit (tailored to fit authentic size). This will...
Rizzo 100%
Piggy good beginning
Kermit's the only critique I have and I'm sure the slightly larger official EFX poser will have a tighter fit into the shirt and coat than here. The fit really isn't snug with with this poser or the pose. And we can probably purchase a blue bow tie for him if...
Thanks WOE! So it is the case of the stand-in MR Kermit being a tad too small for the clothes rather than the other way around? Also, is there any way for fans to request the Great Muppet Caper look for him instead of the red neck tie? :)
That is Rizzo. He looks exactly like the source material that I've seen. (Honestly, he might even look a little better.) Exactly. He's a funky looking little dude and they captured that. I'm gonna have to pull a bank job now. :shifty: If Pepe is anywhere near this quality he will do very well...
I was thinking about Little Muppet Monsters' cancellation by Jim as pertains to MFS. If LMM, a show I actually liked, didn't meet his standards, then MFS wouldn't likely have either. The Muppets are still vital as seen on Muppet.com. Once that can be harnessed into a full-length film Disney and...
The second link. It's not a perfect poser picture, but it is attractive and handsomely done. It seems just like a planner or something. I don't usually buy them, but I'm going to get this one. :attitude:
Jim had plans for the Muppets. He wanted them to have a future - especially with Disney. The only point of conflict was Eisner and he's gone now. Jim really seemed to want the characters active even after him.
I can't speak for what Jim Henson wanted, but the model of what came under him is...
I am so happy about all of this...and even happier that I get to sit back and enjoy it. Thank you guys for your efforts to make MC the best site it can be. You always have my support! ;)
The diary looks promising. That's a must-get. The calendar cover is dreadful, but I won't judge the calendar by the cover. :o I just don't see why the Muppets have to try to be hip with the whole shades and caps thing. I think that look dates them. Still, I will be getting that one too. I've...
As you guys know, I recently created the new Monskey site along with Sean. Now there's a Monskey Design Contest. Go to www.monskey.us and click the contest link for details. MC has so many creative people so I felt like mentioning this. The contest has nothing to do with me. It just seems like fun!
If this news is about another poorly drawn and written Manga I'm going to be upset. There's a difference between being a Dark Crystal fan and liking that lack-luster book. I want movie news! :scary:
I had weird feelings about Disney ownership even in 1990, but I understand the reasoning. Since the official sale a few years ago Disney kind of expected the Muppets to take care of themselves without much support or direction, then they tinkered too much with the formula, then they made plans...
Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal Officially Announced
July 20, 2009 from Blu-ray.com
Sony Pictures Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have officially announced that they will bring Jim Henson's 'Labyrinth' and 'The Dark Crystal' to Blu-ray on September 29th. The films represent two theatrical...
My first thought on it was the Silence of the Lambs side, but I like the Kermit. He's one of the Holy Grail figures in their new Vinylmation series. :)
Oooh. Well, this one you might not like, but it does show the Disney love for the Muppets. They're making Munny-like urban vinyl sculpts, but with Mickey as a base design. They then throw on different skinned-paint-jobs. Kermit's was so popular that they are coming out with a few entire Muppet...
It's the beginning of one - comic books, television specials (placed less than a year apart), puppet products, posers, figures, an updated web pressence, a greater theme park presence and those are the things already here now. Have you not seen any of this or are discounting it all because...
