While I do like the Miss Piggy, the snout is far too low on the face. It's like she's looking down, but there are no contour lines to indicate that perspective so it looks strange.
These mugs are in the UK Disney Store, but not the US yet. Still, it seems this is part of the new push.
:o Never seen this before, but I love the style and it's using the recent licensing art Fozzie. Is this new?
Edit! There are more! Animal, Kermit & Miss Piggy.
Pros and Cons:
Toys should be played with and the Electric Mayhem set is just too cool to leave in a box. If there's room to display it you should definitely do it. It's one of the crowning achivements of the Muppet line.
But, the set only fits Animal and he can be found in a couple other...
I hope the artist pool will be widened a lot more and soon. I think everyone involved (except maybe Robin Hood with the vomiting Robin the Frog) has done a fantastic job so far. There are plenty of comic artists to go around and many artists who'd love to lend a hand to the Muppets, but are...
I finally signed up for my frogboy4.deviantart.com account. Not sure if i'll ever use it much, but there are a few goodies out there. Feel free to stop by. :)
I'm thinking that MC sometimes cultivates different cliques in some sections that come and go under my long-term radar, but I'm still unclear about the drama. I haven't seen any real drama since the political rants of 2003 from those of both sides.
I really don't like the hatted granny Piggy, but I'd stock these in the store if these assortments hit the retail market at a reasonable cost. But I'm thinking these are Disney Store only. There's one coming back to SF this fall. It's in a smaller location than before, but closer to the strip...
Opening number aside, the Muppets seemed just so sad and apathetic to me throughout MFS. Some folks claim that VMX has that, but I felt they were a lot truer to form there. The Muppets need to actually sing vocals on their own songs and mess things up half way through. That's the Muppet way. I...
These hangtags are new configurations of old graphics, but it appears that Disney wants Miss Piggy to look like this particular era. That's the new part. They've been using an uglier modern Piggy image on US Muppet merchandise until very recently. It appears this is the picture of her they...
Apparently this was broken up into sections and moved to their LA conference room. Not sure where that was said, but I remember someone saying that.
I think this should be a poster too. So many good ideas not explored, but now it would take an agreement with Disney and Henson. :sympathy:
Oooh! Thanks for sharing the Ebay link.
Kermit looks pretty good and Animal looks the best he has in bean-plush form. I don't know why they stick Miss Piggy in those stupid hats. Maybe it has something to do with how they root the hair. I'm glad they're using a more iconic image on the hang...
Bear had a respectable 4 season run with 119 episodes. I just think it ran the natural Disney course. Nothing more to it. I do disagree with that policy, but it's one they seem to have.
I'm thinking more on model rather than exactly on model. There are a lot of really good artists out there who could draw the characters even more authentically than we've seen so far. This recent issue kind of looks to me like fatigue and watered down compared to some truly great earlier works...
The story seems interesting and the covers are beautiful. The character art is what we’ve come to expect from this artist, but I have to admit to wanting some new blood in illustrating the Muppet comics from here on out. I suppose this particular style has already hit its stride for me. Most of...
I always found Sam the Eagle to not only be a voice of the bizarre fringe of conservatism, but also had a distinct similarity to Richard Nixon. Heck, it was the 70's so that makes a lot of sense.
As a new Junior Partner and General Manager at Action Figure Freddy I have a heap of new responsibilities. One is the 6x3 foot marquee design for our new monthly events.
Our first marquee featured two Pixar artists promoting their own cheeky toon playing cards. This month featured a local...
