He is, but I think he may be retired. I've been playing phone and email tag with his agent to do an interview with GP for MC (which he's apparently willing to do), and his agent described him as 'homebound'.
Reminds me, I owe the agency another follow-up phone call.
David "Gorgon Heap"...
Originally I was planning to include "Rainy Day People", "Sundown", and "Carefree Highway" in that order in my Gordon Lightfoot outline, but after giving "Song for a Winter's Night" a few listens and thinking it over, I think I agree with Jelly Man Kelly on your line-up. In fact, when I first...
Male, female, and baby Koozebanians, trumpet-nosed Fazoob, fish-faced Fazoob, and Koozebanian Phoob.
Boppity.
-Englishman: Jerry
-Englishman's wife: Louise
-Red-haired Whatnot man: Jerry
-Blond woman with pink sweater: Jerry
-Blue mustached Whatnot man: Richard
-Duck-billed woman...
Tall, broad comic actor known especially for his foreign dialects and zany, over-the-top characters. He played Nazi playwright Franz Liebkind in Mel Brooks's first film "The Producers" (1968), has provided numerous animation voices, including King Triton in Disney's "The Little Mermaid", and...
Small tip on dialogue, something I've learned from watching FR, esp. Jerry Juhl's episodes: if you can find a funnier, more colorful, or more specific way of having a character say something, do it. It adds depth and richness to the writing, taking a line or a joke from the level of mere...
Guess I just like Baskerville.
I'll use Rover Joe when it feels right. He looks like an old hound, the kind who lies on the floor (which is pretty much where they used him on TMS), so to me, it doesn't feel right to use him here. Baskerville looks more Muppety (for comic numbers), Muppy...
Possibly.
Those are also opinions. Fact is, I don't share them personally. Like Mildred being too proper, for example- proper people are always on the victim end where comedy is concerned (think of all the Three Stooges pie fights, or Margaret Dumont getting punched by Harpo in "Animal...
Glad to hear you're on the mend, Mr. Nelson, and great to hear from you as always. I'll be praying for your speedy recovery.

Since it's not letting me edit, I'll do this as a separate post:
Here's an add for VH- the patient is the Whatnot girl from AtD with the dark curly hair. Dr. Heap says he's going to use "a garlic recipe- er, remedy" on her. He does this by sprinkling garlic on her, instructing her to turn...
Quick change- let's say it's the gray Whatnot & duck-billed woman, both performed by Frank (as in the John Cleese & Jaye P. Morgan episodes). Behemoth would be performed by Dave, Beautiful Day & the Phoob by Richard, Green Scoff by Louise, Gorgon Heap by Jim, red-haired man & pink-sweatered...
One small edit: subtract the Electric Mayhem from the song backstage, and leave it just as David (as DuFarge) and the three girls.

Actually, drop Sweetums from the opening number. Just Boppity, Gloat, Miss Kitty, and Green Scoff, conducted by Beautiful Day.
And also, in VH, change the female patient from 'Sexy Muppet' to the female Whatnot with the dark curly hair (seen in "At the Dance" in the Zero Mostel,John Cleese...
Actually, to amend previous post, let's say back or side, so you can see her hair hanging out of his mouth.
A joke to add to "At the Dance"; let's say this one is from two possums:
Male: "You know, we had a new student join the swim team today, name of Artie Skunk."
Female: "Oh, how's...
Yes I do.
Let's say it's Fozzie, Nigel, Robin, Baskerville, T.R. the Rooster, Mary Louise, Robin, and the Jim Henson Muppet, each one sort of popping in solo to whistle.

Quick changeroo: switch this one to in-between the Zero Mostel and Milton Berle episodes. Makes more sense visually, IMO. In my 'in progress' file, I've got an outline I'd rather slot in-between the Don Knotts and Zero Mostel episodes: one guest-starring Henny Youngman (P.S. anyone know if...
