That's not true. Sprout does not air any episodes from before Season 40 at this point. There is currently no place on television for classic Sesame Street whatsoever, and I'm not sure there will be ever again. I know this may sound totally crazy, but sometimes I still miss the days that Unpaved...
This piece of music was actually composed by Mark "Moogy" Klingman. Apparently he was well known in the 70s, and he wrote several other film scores for SS, such as "Llama at the Dentist."
I just watched it, and I have to say it really is not all that exciting. I thought there would maybe be a thing or two in the half hour version that wasn't in the original version, but that does not seem to be the case. I will say that if you've been anxious to check out this new half hour...
There is a guy on YouTube who has uploaded several rare classic episodes within the last few days, most notably 1199 and 1201, as well an an unknown season 13 episode. He also has a handful of season 21 episodes. I have to say I think this is the best thing that's happened in years. When I first...
I thought I would revive this. Since it's less than a month away, it seems like not all PBS stations will be carrying it. It doesn't seem to have a separate title, but it appears to be a different episode than the full-hour version that airs that day. But it seems like most stations that are...
I just saw a post from the SS fb page that there will be a new half hour version of the show coming this fall, in addition to the existing hour - long series. This should be interesting. It says it will have the word on the street segment, Cookies Crumb Pictures, Super Grover 2.0, and some of...
I just read that there will be an even brighter set for Season 45. I couldn't believe this. The set is already too bright as it is. How much more bright can they make the set? It seems like Sesame Street is becoming more like a cartoon show than a live-action show. But I also read there is going...
I really dont think Sprout, or any network would do anything like that. Sprout is a channel specifically designed for preschoolers, not for nostalgic fans. If the old format doesn't work on PBS, why would it work on Sprout?
I am just an overly nostalgic person. I went through a period of time when I didn't watch the show much, but one day in Spring of '97, SS was all that was on and so I watched it, and I saw this clip that I remembered from when I was really little, and it got me hooked on the show all over again...
I think this has been the absolute worst season so far. Every single clip in HD except that one sketch with the CGI twiddlebugs from Season 38. It isn't the same show anymore, and it never will be. I know I've said this before, but this is how I feel. I think they're doing a good job, but I'm...
I wanna say that if they do end up remaking classic songs, I would really like it if they re - filmed it but used the original audio soundtrack. They did that a few times in Season 30. I doubt it'll happen, it's just a thought.
They are? I don't think they're airing Season 35, but they are airing Season 37 for the 5am airing and 7am Sat-Sun airings only. I was surprised, because they never had Season 37 before. It was a good season. But I do think showing 26-29 is out of the question. They're not even showing 30-33...
I recently spoke with Tim Carter at Sesame Workshop, and asked if they plan on releasing any more classic episodes, on DVD or iTunes. He basically told me that Old School 4 is not going to be released this season, and there are not any plans to release anymore iTunes episodes. I was a bit...
They would often show a classic clip with Ernie (Henson) after Journey to Ernie, but it seems like they just picked a select few that they would show once each year. They also had a fair amount of classic clips during the letter and number of the day.
I understand that, but I don't agree with it and it still makes me really sad. I just don't really think I can take it for much longer, or I'll get really depressed. I've already been depressed enough for the last couple of years. I mean, of course there's all the clips on SS.org, and Sesame...
