I've been delighted to find Little Bird cropping up more in these early episodes. This is from Episode 0396.

Not entirely sure yet. Carla Pinza may have been CTW's first attempt at the Maria character Sonia Manzano would play, or it may have been unrelated. There's more research required before we can really say.

Episode 0524 isn't the first appearance of Oscar's mud man, but it's the first time I've seen him in Muppet form. The episode also has a taped version of "The Sound of the Letter A" which you all know from The Muppet Alphabet Album. It's also got a scene with Oscar and Big Bird on screen...

Yikes. That sounds as cringy as some of the Gordon/Susan stuff I've seen from the first season. If you can find which episode that is (season 1 is fully guided here), I can see about getting some screenshots. Seems like it could be one of the first "landmark" episodes after the premiere.

That's what I mean. He's very "my way or the highway". Of course, they hadn't even made it halfway through production in the first year by the time they got letters complaining that Susan was too submissive and she should be doing more than hanging around in the kitchen all day making meals...

He was a lot more street, but he was also fairly aggressive toward his wife. Much more indicative of how a "man" should manage his marriage 50+ years ago versus more of a partnership we more often see today.

Not sure this is the answer you're looking for, but I liked the introduction of Professor D. Rabbit and Garbo in Episode 2303. We saw the prof again a few more times, but it was Garbo's only appearance (I think). The puppet for the prof is beautiful and Garbo looked interesting and had a lot of...
