Yeah, I was sad to hear that George died, but I had kind of been expecting it since the summer. They announced on CNN that George had throat cancer and wasn't likely to live much longer, and then they showed Ringo giving his reaction during rehearsals with the All-Starr band.
I believe George...
Oooh, hoo...it's hard to tell who's the bigger prima donna, Rita or Gertha...and poor Del's caught between the two of them. And in the clip, Richard does sound an awful lot like Scooter when he's dealing with a difficult cast member.
I could have sworn that I had a dream about Muppets or Fraggles a few nights back, but I don't remember it. Rats.
I remembered something about that last dream I had, the one about the ghosts singing "Just One Person." What made it really creepy was that Richard looked exactly the way he did...
I like the idea of Scooter keeping a scrapbook. All his favorite memories of hanging around with the stars, helping with the crew, appearing in numbers and getting decked by Miss Piggy...okay, scratch that last one. But I kinda pictured him reading the scrapbook in a more brightly colored...
Yeah, tonight I'm only watching it 'cause the roommate has it on. It just seems to me that most of the celebs on these shows are the same old, over-hyped glitterati.
On the other hand, I'm glad that Pan's Labyrinth has snagged a few awards so far tonight. Good to see that some people on the...
On the Academy Awards, they just presented the award for Best Animated Short - the category that Kermit and Scooter (and Jim and Richard) presented in at the '86 awards.
Yeah...whoever was conducting the interview should have asked Richard a few more questions, if he or she weren't entirely sure about Richard's role with the Muppets, and then perhaps talked to other sources.
"They all had weird childhoods." Would this apply to you as well, Richard? You're right, heralde. The guy was a loud, crazy goof-off in public, but a real sweetie underneath...and the Muppets were better off for it.
Wait a minute. "...said Richard Hunt, who said he works for the Muppets...?"...
Storyteller: (writing) It is an ancient ceremony of the silly creatures, in which golden idols are worshipped by silly creatures in glittery dresses and strange black suits known as tuxedos. The idols are considered a mark of pride for those silly creatures who make things called "movies."
MN...
I remember in Emmy's description, Richard is described as wearing a suit "that looks like he stole it off an English professor." Nice description...also like the Sherlock Holmes-style deerstalker.
'Course, around here a lot of the English profs wear sweaters and jeans during class...and the...
Stephen King country...that I did not know.
Just found something on Muppet Wiki - they've posted a screenshot of Richard as Cedric the bird watcher from Episode 1576. I didn't even recognize him at first with that mustache pasted on his upper lip.
Oh, man, my brother and I used to be addicted to that show.
Let's see, the movies themselves were universally awful, but I'd say my favorites were:
Riding With Death
Space Mutiny
The Mole People
The Thing that Wouldn't Die
Prince of Space
This Island Earth
Yeah, Maine's really nice in the summer. Nice cool mornings.
One day on one of our trips there, we spent some time down on the beach down by one of the inlets. There was a wooden platform anchored about in the middle of the inlet, and I remember swimming out to it. My feet were a little numb...
Yeah...last time I went camping was in Maine, near Bar Harbor, with my family, about ten or eleven years ago. The messiest food item we made was from-scratch blueberry pancakes on our kerosene camp stove. Delicious.
I also have some very fond memories of an ice cream stand in town, not far...
Yeah, I've never eaten a 'smore. Poor me, I've led a deprived life. ;)
Never really felt a screaming urge to make or eat them, 'cause when we'd toast marshmallows, I'd like eating the golden brown exterior but I wasn't too fond of the inside. Too gooey and too sweet...and smores, to me...
