That, my friend, is what we're ALL still waiting eagerly to find out. One week later and we still know nothing. I mean, i can understand Disney being tightlipped on the reason behind a substitute performer, but the fact that NOBODY at Disney, Henson, any of Steve's colleagues has at least come...
...and he also appeared as himself (and referred to by name) on Muppets Tonight - but both productions came before VMX so whatever happened to him happened between 1998 and 2002.
I think J.P. was essentially a wanna-be performer at heart as was seen in the Jaye P. Morgan episode...he then...
Don't have any of those...but i did have to comment that i loved your "location"!
(Does postcards from Travelling Matt count? Not that i have any but just askin' If not, does the Count count Matt's postcards? Why didn't anyone send The Count a postcard asking how many licks it takes to get...
Just a few various things i'd like to throw out.
As i mentioned earlier (in the other thread) i have tremendous respect for anyone who's a moderator - it's not easy. I was a moderator a LONG time ago when my life was a lot less complicated and had much more free time to devote to the forums...
Yeah - i also remember the Happy Caps episode and also found it hilarious. There was another great Elmo-gets-angry episode that i actually just rewatched as i was converting old tapes to dvd - Elmo wants to show Maria his "silly wiggle thing" but Maria is super busy and doesn't have time to...
I liked it a lot more than i though i would. When i first heard the original annoucements, it seemed just way random and out there and didn't think it would be that great a show. But now i see how it works out and comes together. Now it's certainly not one of their classic shows...it's not up...
I think it was a fun exercise for sketches - there was a bit of education about history but these were more a springboard for other topics in the standard cirriculum - much like the Monsterpiece Theatre skecthes did. Granted, this was before Sesame was aimed a little lower in terms of range of...
Yeah - MFC was a big retcon but i give it a pass for being a one-time excursion for a project that was build around the premise of doing a show where all the different Muppet casts of the various tv shows came together...and this was a way of including the Muppet Babies without having the...
Even though there is a 70's sensibility to them, i wouldn't quite say that EM are stuck in a particular era - on the contrary i'd describe them as timeless. Hey, back on the Muppet Show they did songs that had been around for awhile and stuff that was newer (at the time). I wouldn't think of...
Daffyfan, look up to message #32. It was aired. I saw it.
Just to add to that post, there was a bit of time that passed between that initial introduction and the next time he appeared in his remodified form as the character we now know (or the beginnings of that character since of course...
In regards to the comments about the time it spends to work up from right-handing...
I mentioned upthread about how i've generally thought of there being four "tier levels" of Muppeteers (for a number of years, i thought of this as three tiers but over the last couple, i've adjusted this to...
"Since the thread in question was re-opened this afternoon, this discussion is now a moot point and is being closed."
...and that ladies and gentlemen is a perfect example of the problems that were being addressed in the thread. The thread was about thread closures and deletions being WAY...
I'm guessing since none of the usual newssites/people/insiders have given us a head's up, that there's no scheduled appearance this year...but then we didn't always get advance notice when they've been on before.
Thread closures/deletions bother me too. These are things that should SOLELY be done as a LAST resort. But they're too commonplace when they should be rare. The only time one should ever see them happening a little more frequently is if there's a flamer ruining the board with malicious intent...
Ever since that special i can not hear "Just One Person" without tearing up - doesn't matter if it's the Bernadette Peters version or even a non-Muppet version.
If we can include Sesame, the song "One Small Voice" also gets me watery every time too.
Don't know if it's behaving or not as i type since i can only access it when i'm at the library, but it was working fine earlier today.
I have had what you describe happen before though so either host server may be temporarily down or something's being updated.
It's a script making the rounds in Hollywood. No announcement has been made in terms of anyone picking it up or producing it.
And incidentally this is a DIFFERENT script than the one that made news a year or two back.
In my last post, i wanted to get off my chest a bunch of thoughts feelings i had running around my mind even if i didn't quite have the words i wanted at the time to express them. I found some words...
I've talked about this being very hard on all of us (and as a result stressful and the...
