I know - the usually cheerful and unflappable Muppet performer was clearly in some mental anguish at that moment. I mean, he's certainly holding it together in public, but think about it - he's just lost several friends, including Jim, and he himself isn't long for this world, and he doesn't...
Oh, you'll see a lot of familiar faces in the next few chapters. I will say this much...in chapter five, our heroes get some help from the land of bubbling tarpits...and later on, keep your eyes open for some very familiar passengers on board the Muppet Express. ;)
I know; in heaven they should be able to let you sleep in. (looks up) But Richard, get some rest, okay? I need you and Jim to be on a train with the other Muppet performers sometime in the next few days. (it's for the fanfic I'm working on, you know)
"Hey! Pick up the tempo, will you? I like a...
And as we've said, heaven probably got a little wackier when Muppet crew members started coming in. I don't believe that being dead has stopped them from being silly.
Jerry: Oh...what a headache.
Jim: Too much to drink last night?
Jerry: No...when I woke the others up this morning, they all...

Chapter Four and a Half: An Editorial from Sam the Eagle
Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished readers, I must apologize for the shocking display of crime in that last chapter. Let me assure you, as an attaché…
“Gesundheit.”
That is my occupation, not a sneeze, Officer Fozzie! Anyway...
Erin: Okay, so Scooter, Nora and I will have the cheese omelets...what about you two?
Beige: Just a few crushed mustard-flavored Doozer Sticks.
Storyteller: I'll have...green onions, peppers, garlic, bits of tomato, some radishes...
Scooter: Better throw in a few antacid tablets as well...
"What's the matter, Statler?"
"I feel really sick..."
"What is it, the ship?"
"No, it's this story!"
And now, it starts to get a little interesting. Over to you, Scooter.

Chapter Four: This Bird Has Flown
On a scribbled-on page in the notebook of Scooter R. Hunt, reporter...
Well, gang, I'm on New York time, so let me post the first RHLC message of '08. Happy New Year, everyone.
(up in heaven, on the Muppet crew's cloud)
Joe: (at piano) Should auld acquaintance be...uh, what's the next line?
Jim: (chuckle) Be forgot and never brought to mind.
Christine: What's...
Erin: There we go.
Scooter: So who gets to go next?
Erin: That would be you, gofer boy. You get to narrate the theft.
Scooter: Oh, boy!
Nora: Why don't you take a break? It's New Year's Eve, after all.
Beige: Yeah, but I don't feel like watching the Times Square chaos...
Storyteller: Well, let's...
"It wasn't as much fun, though, as working Junior Gorg, who is one of the easier characters I've ever developed because he came a lot from me." Yes, the big, shaggy, 473-year-old grower of radishes and hunter of "Fwaggles" is very closely connected with the tall, trim, curly-haired (and not too...

Chapter Three: On the Docks
From a diary stored among maps of Egypt, India, China and the Amazon, all belonging to Skeeter R. Hunt, archaeologist and explorer
The bell over the door tinkled as Mr. Slowly and Link lumbered out of the café. I folded up my copy of Archaeology Whenever and...
Erin: (at computer) Okay, Storyteller? Beige? I've worked out a solution.
Beige: To the absence of Fraggles in the story?
Erin: There will be Fraggles now. At some point, in the dining car on the train, the Chef's going to appear with a tureen of radish-potato stew, which is served to a large...
Ah, Ed, you picked up on the albatross symbolism too? Good one - and I've also read "Rime of the Ancient Mariner."
All right, everyone, thanks for being so patient. Here is chapter two.
"Flight of the Golden Albatross...think it'll fly, Waldorf?"
"I don't know, Statler, sounds like a real...
Yeah, I'm kind of wondering why it does that now whenever we post stuff from a word processing program...but ya gotta admit, it's loads faster than just re-typing everything into the reply box.
Chapter two will probably be up tomorrow...and it is narrated by Kermit. Stay tuned...
I know - and besides, Junior's played by Richard Hunt, so he can't be all THAT bad, can he?
Chasing the Fraggles or playing with them is kind of Junior's raison d'etre, so perhaps he would be bored as king...and correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't he get rid of the crown in "The Gorg Who...
Gonzo, let them off the hook...you'll appear soon enough!
Well, the train here is called the Muppet Express...but the bizarre names of the cities along the route (Greater Burden, Mis-En-Scene, etc.) make up for the ordinary train name.
And now, I'm turning it over to Nora for chapter one...
Flight of the Golden Albatross
A Muppet Mystery
Synopsis: The Golden Albatross is a fabulous jeweled necklace worth a king's ransom, and it is loaned to a museum several cities away by its wealthy (but not exactly careful) owner. However, the Albatross vanishes while in transit, and...
Storyteller: (writing) It is a festival in which silly creatures get together, drink lots of fluids that make them dizzy and giggly, and croak out old Scottish ballads...
Scooter: Oh, they do more than get dizzy and giggly, Storyteller.
Erin: (typing at computer) They do things that they...
I've been away for the weekend, visiting my grandmother in NJ. She's feeling better, happily, but she's none too pleased about her roommate at the rehab center. I've also been trying my hand at another Muppet fanfic.
Ah, Scred. A face only a mother - and Lily Tomlin and Gilda Radner and Queen...
