    RIP Carrie Fisher

Yep, I believe they finished filming Episode 8 this summer, making it her last movie. Definitely curious about what'll happen after that though. It'll be extremely sad not to have her in the final movie.

    RIP Carrie Fisher

And it looks like earlier today, PBS aired the episode of Sesame Street with the Star Wars parody. How's that for a coincidence?

    RIP Carrie Fisher

Carrie Fisher, the iconic actress who played Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy has died at the age of 60. http://people.com/movies/carrie-fisher-dies/ Just, no. no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO. I just, I can't right now. RIP Leia. Her mother must be...

    The Funny Picture Thread

I find it quite ironic that you complain about some people on this website being biased, yet you've literally put up the most politically biased post i've ever seen on this website. So, I get it, it's wrong if democrats post about their opinions, but not when conservatives do. Got it. And it...

    RIP George Michael

This is really sad. If any of you have heard about this, Carrie Fisher (Princess/General Lei) had a major heart attack just before Christmas and I was super worried that she would die on Christmas - And than this happens! My mom was just saying how sad it was that basically everyone from her...

    Where are the older humans?

I hate to challenge you on this but, I find that hard to believe.

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Sheesh, as if the real thing wasn't creepy enough. *shudders

    The "You know what?" thread

Well, I certainly understand why he's tired and upset. He's been working hard, fighting basically half the country to help the country and than here comes Trump who threatens to basically undo everything he's been working towards for almost a decade.

    Where are the older humans?

Exactly! The show is not made just to cater to the older fans, the target demo is what's important. And let's face it: The main reason the classic cast members were still on the show for so long after they began to be phased out was because of the parents watching, not for the little kids.

    Where are the older humans?

But I think the big difference here is, Will Lee was still a big part of the show prior to his death, so it made sense for them to explain his absence. But with Maria, Gordon, Susan etc, they haven't been major characters for years, so most kids wouldn't even notice their absence. It would feel...

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Yeah, their eyes do look a little odd, but I like that the figures have a cartoon-ish quality to them.

    Happy Birthday Caroll Spinney!!!

With all the buzz going on with the holiday season, it can be easy to forget that Caroll Spinney's birthday is the day after Christmas. Caroll turned 83 today. Thank you Caroll for bringing my two favorite characters to life, I might've never been a Muppet fan had it not been for Big Bird. I...

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

The Newman figure looks like a cross between Peter Griffin and Hank Hill.

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

That's something i've been struggling with as well this year. I got this Fourth Doctor from "Doctor Who" Funko Pop figure today and it's so well made, I wanted to take it out of the box, but I wasn't sure if I should. I say take them out if you really want to, but put them back in the box as...

None Like it Hot: The "I Hate the Heat" Club

Yeah, it's been bizarrely warm the past couple of days where I live too. This was by far the warmest Christmas i've ever had. I have never, ever had to use the air condition on Christmas. Even that one day back in 2010 or 2011 when it was the first day of winter, yet it was somehow over a...

Sesame Street Season 48 begins shooting, HBO premiere set for November 2017

That's what I wanna know too! I know there's this guy, Bakari Prigg, he got to be part of a workshop simply by sending an audition video to Matt Vogel: http://www.uah.edu/news/people/self-taught-puppeteer-finds-encouragement-inspiration-at-sesame-street-workshop

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Jolly Ol' Saint Nick is finally slowing down. Either that or there are more kids in the world now then there were two years ago.

    Where are the older humans?

Well, her most recent appearance was in season 45, in that season and the 44th, she was only a background character and only appeared in one episode. And in season 43 she made no appearances at all, which was odd considering she seemed to have been making a comeback in season 42, when she not...
