For those who may not be able to see the facebook post I'll copy it here:
It is with great sadness that we confirm that John Henson, son of Jim and Jane Henson and brother to Lisa, Cheryl, Brian and Heather, died at age 48 of a sudden massive heart attack on Friday, February 14, while at home...
Words can not really express how I'm feeling right now. It seems like just yesterday we lost Jane, and Jerry. For that matter it feels like we lost Jim just like yesterday as well.
The Henson's children have been through so much, and my thoughts and prayers are for them today.........
I can't seem to find anything about this, and I don't know who to contact. You would think that Henson's twitter page or something would make some sort of thing, but I don't know.
For those who may not know John preformed Sweetums in Muppet Treasure Island, and Muppets From Space.
Someone had asked about Jimmy unveiling the "Muppet Pipes" The first video is from the "Today Show" the second is from "NBC Nightly News" which shows Frank Oz seeing the pipes for the first time in years!
That's been a recurring bit on his show with the same guy always walking out. Statler and Waldorf could have worked but it would kind of take away the origins of the bit.
I love the song that they did, but would it have been cool if they did "Saying Goodbye" on Late Night, and then sang "Together Again" on the new Tonight Show?
Anyways Good luck Jimmy I will be watching your first Tonight Show for sure. :flirt:
Ok I don't want people to hurt me over this but Janice's voice is really way off. Scooter and Floyd sounded awesome, but Janice's voice is way way to high.
Yes Jimmy has had both Sesame and the Muppet Show Muppets on his show a number of times. Every time it has been an awesome thing to watch. He really respects the Muppets and treats them like A list stars. So it will be awesome to see what he does with them on his last show!
I think I would prefer a movie of them annoying Donald or Pluto more then going back to Rescue Rangers. Then again if it went well they may do something the Darkwing Duck as well.
Wow they really went all out for the Super Bowl this year! I saw the one with Crazy Harry in English as well. It was the second ad that the played last night during the big Game!
Well I think that some people can be to negative about any giving project. Take for instance the Lady Gaga thing. Just because she was the headliner of that people doomed that even before they saw it.
There are also those that think anything done by anything created by Jim after his death is...
sure and it would seem like a great idea but the only person I could think would be close to it would be David Rudman. If you listen to him do Mr. Johnson(Fat blue) in Elmo in Grouchland he sounds a lot like Brian (Sal)
Well It's sad but Brian has said that he has kind of walked away from working with the Muppets. Which means preforming Sal as well, and the only real good person I could see working with Johnny would be Pepe, Rizzo or even maybe Fozzie.
Wow When you look at who all is in the car it seems like an interesting mix, and what you get is Mupptts who have not interacted with each other much bring out comic gold!
To me these ad's almost seem like the second season of the Muppet Show. When the personality's, and relationships of the...
Henson use to be really cool, and I kind of made friends with some of there mail people.
I Still say Sesame Workshop is the best place to get in touch with a Muppeter. However I myself have never tried it. What I'm going to do is I'm going to use the addresses that we have with the exception of...
