He & his brothers did many great ones, so it's hard to narrow them down. But I enjoy: Billie Jean, Beat it, Thriller, Man in the Mirror, Another Part of Me, She's out of my life, Give in to Me, Leave me alone, Smooth Criminal, Rockin' Robin, I'll be there, Torture, We are the world.
Yes, I think you're right on about that. After "Muppet Show," both Jim and Frank had other projects they wanted to look into, and that took away from time on Sesame Street. Thankfully, they both continued to do tapings there once in a while. (I'm not sure if Frank is still doing this, but he...
Very cool, thanks for those historic clips!
I know that Oscar, Kermit and one of the Sesame St. street signs are still at the Smithsonian, but does anyone know if they have any other Sesame Street-related stuff still there?
I likely won't be able to make it this year, darn it! It looks like it will be a pretty good show, though, with guests like voice artist June Foray and Stan Freeburg. I know some MuppetCentral folks have made it in years past. Anyone planning to go this year?
I'm a fan, too. Here's my past blog post about John, which includes memories from a concert & a list of some of John's appearances on home video -

He definitely had talent and is very missed. Thankfully, he's got a big library of...
I just realized, we've now narrowed down our search for "Mount Snuffleupagus!" If the whole series was filmed in Kawai, then Kawai is likely the island where the mountain is. (That's not too specific, I know, but at least it's something. :) )
That's for sure- if you can't find old articles online, your best bet is to visit a large library and go through their computer listings or card catalouge. I was able to find many Sesame St.-related articles this way. It would probably work better if you visited a larger library, since most...
Fun clips! They're obviously fan-made, since we can see the puppeteers & such. I'm just glad they let somebody tape that stuff during the actual taping. It definitely looks fun. It also shows how tricky it can be to get all the muppets in the right place at the right time.
Wow- believe it or not, I do remember this clip! I don't recall her flesh "melting" from her face. Her face was just distorting and shifting. There was another similar animated clip with a guy whose face was distorting that would be neat to find. I'm amazed that someone actually had this! I'm...
But anyway, once you get the account, I think the only real things you would need hardware-wise would be:
1. A camcorder, DVD player or VCR to gather the clips.
2. The ability to transfer video files into the YouTube format, which I think can be done with most video software programs...
Here's a clip that sounds a little bit like the one you described (you did see it on Sesame Street, right?) :)

Right- I have an account, and I don't even have any videos up! For the moment, I just use it to show other people's videos in my "favorites" folder. I'm hoping to post some of my own stuff at some point, but for now it's a nice way to show some of the YouTube videos I like. I can direct them to...
Way cool! Thanks for letting us know about this. Please tell me that somebody taped this concert!
There is a photo of the event on Getty Images that I can't link to, but it should be found if you do a search for the concert.
Thanks for the link, you've got some fun classic toys in there. One minor correction though- you have a Fisher Price little person listed as "Maria" who is actually "Susan." :) There was a Gordon and Mr. Hooper too, and I think those were the only 3 Sesame St. "humans" that were made into Little...
That's pretty steep, even if the company you work for is paying your way. And only for one night! That's a lot to ask from an organization. I'm wondering what kind of people/groups would be able to afford this. Not too many educators would have that kind of disposable income (unfortunately!).
That's a real treasure- you may want to try contacting the Jim Henson Foundation. If they're not able to buy the sketch, they may be able to refer you to an auction house or another collector that can take it.

Yes, the Sesame Street cast did appear on Donahue at one point way back when- I'm not sure if it was for the 25th anniversary or not, but I recall seeing most of the "human" cast members along with Big Bird and Oscar (although not both Big Bird & Oscar at the same time!) It was a fun show with a...
