Wow, thank you Count! You're right, that must be it.
I've posted your response and the link to the segment I found on YouTube. I'm sure she'll love it. :)
Thanks!
A friend of mine at another board is aching to see her most treasured SS segment, but we have no idea what she's talking about, and haven't been able to find it on YouTube.
She says:
"I wish I could see my favorite clip EVER:
6 little kitties in their beds
1-2-3-4-5-6
Please tell me...
But Roscoe Orman's page on IMDB also says he started in 1974, just like the booklet. I just assumed he came on later in season 4?
Since I don't have any other SS DVDs (I have the VHS of Elmo says BOO [for the Count's sake] and The Best of Kermit, but that's it). I'd rather spend money on a...
Okay, time for my gushings.
Oh man...I had a "Street-a-thon" Saturday night and finished it Sunday night (I would've done it all in one sitting but I had to get some sleep for work), and I am just completely in love with the magic of Henson and the CTW that is "Sesame Street". *sigh*...
Hmm, my thinking would be that for each (hopefully there will be more!) box set, it will be separate years. Calling it "Sesame Street: Old School (1969-1974)" just sounds naturally to me that the next volume would be called "Sesame Street: Old School (1974-1979)". Of course I don't know that for...
Yeah, it bugs me when someone involved directly with something like that doesn't see it like we fans see it---arrgh!
You have got to be kidding me!
Really!
You have!
Okay, fine, fine, you have your own opinion...but I'm afraid I cannot room with you at a Muppet convention. :p
I do. But then again, I love her so much that I'm always listening for her, lol. But really, she and Floyd are the only vocalists on it, and on my MP3 of the song you can hear her. And of course on the show you can see her, so it's easy to see where she's singing too. True, in some parts not as...
She also sang the choruses with Floyd on "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover", and with him on "Sam's Song", aside from the solo-line ones you mentioned and the ones you didn't. I consider both "I Get By" and "Rockin' Robin" solo numbers for Janice (Dr. Teeth's "Go bird go!" and Animals' tweets hardly...
That's probably it, and I just need to remember that, although it won't make my Janice-craving that much better, lol. Richard at least had Scooter and Statler and Beaker as mainstays, whereas poor Jerry only had Floyd as his most-main character (and even kinda "lost" Statler to Richard).
Janice doesn't start it...Lips sings "Well the barnyard is jumpiiiiiiiiiin'/Ev'rybody havin' a fling" (paraphrase, may not be 100% accurate)...and then Janice sings the 2nd part of the bridge, "Even Old MacDonaaaald/Had to do a little cornish swing"---if Lips weren't around, the whole bridge...
Well, to clarify, I grudgingly consider him as an EM member in season 5 of TMS---but more like a "guest member" for that one season only.
Lips did steal from Janice. He sang half the bridge of "Boogie in the Barnyard" that should have been entirely Janice's as opposed to her merely singing...
Yeah, I wish there was an EM song on the 2 album when Richard did her voice, *sigh*...
(and for the record in response to other posters, I don't consider Lips or Clifford EM members---only the charter 5)
GelflingWaldo, I apologize...I hurriedly went to the review and skimmed through it, just assuming it was Phillip. I'm sorry. :o
And maybe you can hear Janice on guitar, but can you see her on the album artwork? I doubt it. Still there's no excuse to exclude her like that---now I know how the...
Oh, I didn't realize you already had all 4 volumes of that...I don't have any yet, but want to get them. Though I can't chime in much on it because I haven't seen any since circa 1990! lol :o
I've already explained how Mokey was not "cocky" in "trying" to be the Trash Heap, she was deluded into thinking it was her destiny due to the other fraggles. And she wasn't "cocky" to want to draw the hairy chested batworm, it was an important scientific discovery she was eager to...
When I think cocky, I think of Gobo in "A Friend in Need", where you're convinced you're better than everyone else and you consciously demontrate that--you go out of your way to make others feel inferior.
So this is where part of the problem is, we all can have different interpretations for...
It's just when you feel you know a character so well and you want to protect them from such remarks, lol. But I still maintain she is never "cocky" or "full of herself"...she can sometimes become self-absorbed, but that is a completely different concept, and a much more fitting one, given to her...
