Fun wide range of recent posts here! :sing:
Lately while writing my fanfic I've listened to a lot of Tom Waits. "Walk Away" and "Jockey Full of Bourbon" I could listen to all night over and over.
Goodness! You two would make Pepe blush! :)
Effie, you remind me (in a GOOD way) of Annie Sue...I think it's the curls, 'cos your nose is much cuter...
and Linkie has a 1950s kitten look, IMHO.
Both of you are lovely. Thanks for sharing!
Part 28
The Newsman waited anxiously in the lighting booth, staring out the window into the catwalks as Gina moved from instrument to instrument, all of them glowing softly, checking to see all was in order before the house would be opened to the audience. Despite his worries, she seemed fine...
Part 27
By the time they reached the apartment, Newsie was shivering badly. Inside the door, Gina stopped and held onto him a long moment. He gulped, deeply uneasy about what he’d just done. He searched her eyes, looking for judgement. “Do you…do you think that was foolish of me?”
She smiled...
Tim Curry mugging shamelessly during "Muppet Treasure Island", which I watched again last night for the first time in years. Gotta love that man. I now want to learn all the words to "When You're a Professional Pirate".
I think Newsie was inspired too...you guys should've heard him singing...
Part 26
This was too good. Fleet Scribbler paused only a second at the top of the stairs; he heard a voice from the back door. “Have you guys considered turning it the other way? Yeeesh!” Having no wish to deal with Kermit again, Scribbler hurried for the stage, intending to go out front and...
Count, I'd happily deliver the Bin Laden death news...but the cynic in me worries there will be retaliation coming, and soon. That's the way these people seem to think. I'm more worried than celebratory, alas. :concern:
For this next chapter, a bit of my own experience again: I don't know...
How's this for original: for many years I had a large pink snake named Snakey, a fat green frog named Froggy, and a toe-sock fish my mom made for me named Fishy.
Yeah...I've learned how to name characters better since then...
Best Short, anyone?
My votes for:
1. Mr B Natural ("Uh, Buzz? Don't make so much noise when you read")
2. Circus on Ice (the "gutshot fawn" line had me on the floor in tears laughing)
3. Speech ("speech! lip and tongua action!")
4. Body Care & Grooming (I had housemates who NEEDED this...
Here is a Muppet News Flash: Birthday Celebrant may be trapped at library without cake! Negotiations are under way with the Mayor, the Library Committee, and the Swedish Chef.
When the cake actually is cut, you'll hear it first here on Muppet News!
Happy Birthday! :)
Part 25
The lobby was empty. The Newsman looked around quickly: doors into the theatre, concession stand, information desk/souvenir case, restroom doors, staircase to the balcony. Which way had Scribber chosen? From behind the info desk, a steady snoring arose. Looking over the top of it...
We interrupt this Forum for a Muppet News Flash!
A young Muppet fan celebrates her FOURTH birthday today!
Folks, my elder niece, Salema, turns four today. She and her little sister Sasha are huge "Sesame Street" fans (especially Elmo). I've been urging their parents, who are both longtime...
(Newsie singing loud, a la Tom Servo:)
"Oh Creepy Girl, my Creepy Girl, will you be mi-ya-hine?
I'll give you News Flashes, and tinkertoys, and wi-hi-hine,
I'll ditch these guys, if you'll be my, Cree-ee-py Girl!"
Catalina Caper! I forgot Catalina Caper! Aaagh!
Uh...I've actually not yet seen "Soultaker." :o
Guess I know what I'm asking Marty for next!
And about "rock climbing"... which Hercules movie was it where they had the sequel, "saaaaaandstoooorm!" All part of the lovin' kindness known as.... DEEEEP HUUURTING...
Part 24
Beaker trudged glumly through the gray drizzle which had cast a dull pallor over the morning, hunched over to try to keep the paper bag with the toasted bagels from getting wet. Naturally, it had been dry when he’d set out to fetch breakfast for himself and Bunsen, so he hadn’t taken an...
For those of you who haven't already caught the references to one of my all-time fave films, "Ghostbusters," this chapter should bring up a couple more. Beaker sneaking through the apartment building is an indirect homage to the Hotel Sedgewick sequence...just have that somewhat eerie background...
