Splurge is a neat character. He was in the special "Muppets on Puppets" in 1968, the Ed Sullivan Show and the first season of Sesame Street. He wasn't used much after 1970. It seems that Thig and Thog became the commonly used "large" monsters after Splurge.
Just a note that quite a few new songs were added to Muppet Central Radio today from the Muppets, Sesame Street and Bear in the Big Blue House.

Terry's puppet, Butch G. Cat, appears at some of the telethons each year in Canada. Terry has worked on quite a few professional puppet programs and is extremely gifted and talented.

It doesn't seem odd to me. The Muppets and Sesame Street have been doing album parodies since the beginning. Also remember that in 1993 the original "Sesame Road" album was released (Sony changed the track listing and rereleased it in 1995). So it doesn't really seem odd that "Cheep Thrills" was...
Hi Jeremy,
Got your e-mail. I don't have any extras of the puppets you are seeking.
Roosevelt and the Igel Bunsen are probably the cheapest of what is on your list. There have been quite a few of the Vicma puppets on eBay during the last 12 months or so. I have seen 4-5 Sherlocks...

It really wasn't clear what your question was... but if it helps Janis Joplin's album was "Cheap Thrills" whereas the Sesame one is called "Cheep Thrills".
I don't think it was produced. It will be interesting to see if we get any new 2005 calendars. The parody calendars with non-recycled photos were a joy in the mid-nineties.
