Back in 1998 on our forum, Jerry Nelson talked about how Gladys from the Muppet Show was based on a real person at the Elstree stuidos when the Muppet Show was taped. Yeah, she was in a few season 3 shows when the canteen debuted and that was about it.

The made-for-tv Muppet Wizard of Oz will be on ABC next May. There are lots of threads on it in the headlines folder.

The deal was agreed to in 1995 back when Muppets Tonight was in the planing stages called "Muppets Live". At the time it included Muppets Tonight and the series Aliens in the Family. I don't think Disney bought ABC until the following year.

Actually, John Kennedy and Dave Goelz (MTI game) have done Dr. Teeth up to this point. But if Bill does indeed voice Dr. Teeth in Oz as reported than the quiz does need to be updated. Just to be safe, I have changed the question.

That's a great deal. I'm sure many folks will be interested in taking you up on the offer. Two-for-one Muppet figures is pretty sweet, especially for the older series.

I haven't watched the show in several months, but I use to watch it daily and since season two began in June 2003 I don't think they have reaired any of the first season episodes which is a shame. The show is actually really good. It would be amazing if they just gave us more classic clips...

There is no name yet for the channel that I have heard. It will be interesting to see how this plays out with the Sesame programming on Noggin. I have heard a launch date as soon as September 2005. I'm sure we will be hearing more as time goes on.

The original version (and over 150 Muppet holiday songs) will begin playing on Muppet Central Radio tha day after Thanksgiving.
