I agree 110%. I've burned out my retinas trying to catch up on all the posts in the thread about the cancellation, but with the stigma of the Muppets being for kids being more real than ever in the world we live in today, this would be a total hit; CG reboot in an early morning Disney Channel...
What makes you so sure? Just seems pretty baseless to me.
With Roosevelt Franklin and Yip Yip Martians confirmed for as early as wave 2 (in reality), nothing seemed out of reach with this line. ;)
Any major characters missing from the presumed first 5 waves? Something seems to be...
Okay, I agree Prince seemed maybe a little too "full of himself" at times, shall we say, but letting Weird Al parody your song, everyone remembers that, and it takes away from the seriousness of the song. Like if I wrote a really serious song that really meant something to me I wouldn't want...
With 5 waves it barely even feels like they scratched the surface. :(
I feel like with the first 5 or 6 waves of the Muppet line they nailed all the heavy hitters, but there's just so many SS characters.
Alright, here were the tentative waves 1-5 for the Palisades SS line (I have never heard waves 3-5 or the exclusives ever discussed anywhere before). This is straight from the horse's mouth from a former Palisades employee, and a special thanks to @muppetspot2 for finding this info...
Yeah, and I also heard it was too tough of a market between too sophisticated of a kid's toy and too childish for adult collectors (that I don't believe though since everyone loves the Muppets), so they really didn't know where or what stores it would belong.
I would've just loved to have seen...
That's actually where I discovered it. I'm sure I've heard it before, but I actually heard it in the movie Begin Again.
Yeah, but for the late '60s that song was really ahead of its time; truly timeless.
The harmonica solo in this song (1:31) really reminds me of Sesame Street circa late '90s early 2000's? Wasn't there like some harmonica thing in the end credits?
Burt Bacharach = Joe Raposo
OMG they are tiny!
I always wondered why Palisades made Kermit knocked-kneed, especially now since someone did him right.
Man, you're right; it's all in the eyes. He goes from looking like a possessed robot to just a great figure.
I really can't believe they OK'd this. If this line...
Don't get me wrong ~ still good figures.
I'd say no; if anything, I think we got more than we could ask for.
I mean that's a little extreme. It's a completely valid criticism and in no way nitpicking; something went wrong on Diamond's end.
I am sad to say but the honest truth is that this ruins the figure. You can't really mess up the main character's eyes. I never even took the time to look at Robin, but his eyes are a little iffy as well, this time too small. Honest feedback. :o
See, I disagree. Kids want to be like Muppets. I could totally see a kid emulating being glued to the screen like that. Usually kids can't grasp a multi-layered lesson like that, so they just emulate the character because they look cool. Like the character of Frazzle was created so kids knew not...
