Yeah, it's a very abstract way of sunglasses I think; just another stroke of Jim genius.
"Lenticular eyes - seen only at dramatic moments when he suddenly looks full into camera"
It's just used to give expression to foam and rubber.
The Janice thing was actually planned:
Perhaps there is an avenue of solving this mystery... :search:
Does anyone own any Plaza Sésamo VHS tapes? Someone in the comments of the Cracks video said they own an official VHS tape with this on there... any chance the animator could be credited in the credits? I have seen VHS tapes before...
Yeah, odd this hasn't seen an official release. It has zero controversy surrounding it (unlike other SS lost media pieces), so where is it? It seems like it would've been ideal for a DVD release like ten years ago.
@zns, I enjoy reading this thread and seeing your dedication to finding the...
Ironic you bumped this, but not for the reason I was thinking. YouTube, TV, NBA scoring tables I have seen a lot of ads for the Monstars. I think it's awesome.
They haven't been updated or anything... it's just the Monstars, and that's why I love it. How many times have we seen 'normal' Bugs...
I think with the smaller figures they could do some great playsets. I was thinking it wouldn't have been a bad idea for Palisades to just do the Muppet Theater as the ultimate playset and then everything else could've just stood to have been inserts. Don't get me wrong, they did some great...

Oh, hot ****. Without getting into Palisades discussion, these are pretty nice. My only complaint is I prefer "action figures" as opposed to characters like Ernie who looks to be stuck in a pose. These are definitely prototypes, but the only legit complaint I have is Ernie's tongue needs to be...
This is my top piece of lost media I want found, and sadly I've just had to accept that we may never see it again (which is absolutely pitiful on the part of Sesame Workshop), but we've said all we can say about it, so we'll just have to hold tight and see if it appears again one day. :sigh:
Welp, you got LeBron in the new Space Jam, so that's gonna bring about as much commotion as the first one did, though there's nothing quite like the first time. What kind of art direction they will go in is beyond me, since the Looney Tunes have been a bit Dexter's Lab-ified lately.
Edit: We...
But...
I can't lie; Diamond's Rowlf looks ace. I think it may be the best-looking Muppet figure ever, but we all know how things change from proto to final:
