Gadget 2 was shot in my home city, Brisbane. I remember them shutting down one of the major bridges in the city on one of the hottest summer days we'd had in a long time, to film an action sequence. So I'll check out the DVD just for the behind the scenes stuff.
Despite being a beautiful...
If anyone is interested in seeing Heat Vision and Jack, it can be downloaded on Kazaa.
It played at a couple of film fests, but God knows why it was never aired or released on video. I did hear a rumour once that Stiller was planning on remaking it as a feature film.
I'd really recommend...
One of the best shows I've ever seen not only didn't get picked up, but the pilot wasn't even aired.
I'm talking about Heat Vision and Jack.
Directed by Ben Stiller.
Starring Jack Black as an astronaut whose shuttle went too close to the sun, which somehow increased his brain size...
Here's some info on the Catwoman movie for those that are interested.
Not so long ago it looked definate that the film would be made with Ashley Judd playing Catwoman. Apparently, Owen Wilson had signed on to play a detective. The script was not set in Gotham City, but in another city...

I doubt the Guy Pearce as Batman thing would happen, although I think it's a great idea. It was only a rumour, because of Nolan's attachment to the new film. Pearce is picky with projects, and prefers to work on smaller low budget flicks. He also prefers to work at home in Australia, from...
I like Valentines Day. Sure, it's very commercial, and people say you don't need one day to let your partner know that they're special. But I like it. I think it's just a fun day and a nice opportunity to spoil your loved one.
My girlfriend bought me some sweet boxers with Homer and Marge...
I'm looking forward to it Ernie. I don't know if it will be any good though. I just hope it's good fun. I'll feel like a teenager again going to see this film.
I'm also happy they didn't get Kane Hodder back to play Jason. The guy was dedicated to the role, yeah, but he was way too big...
I gotta agree with Cory a little bit here. I think the Oscar nominations are overly predictable and disappointing.
The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers received the biggest snub. How can a film so epic in scale receive a Best Picture nomination, but not nominate the director Peter...
Gotta disagree with you Cory. I don't see how Jedi is anymore epic than Empire. Empire was a risky film for its time and still works wonderfully today.
I think Jedi is good closure to the original trilogy, but it could have been a lot more.
Jedi is a lazy film at times. Too kiddified...
Well as some of you know, I'm a complete and utter film nut. So the majority of my material obsessions revolve around film in some way. Here's a few:-
Muppets
Lord of the Rings
Star Wars
Robert De Niro
Al Pacino
Ed Harris
Seinfeld
The Simpsons
The Young Ones
Jamiroquai
Film and TV...
Empire is easily my favourite and I'd rate Jedi probably on a par with the prequels.
I love Empire for so many reasons. And here are a few of them....
Yoda. The dude rocks. And even though he kicked *** in AOTC, he's never been better than he was in ESB.
Han Solo. The guy stole...
Definately Star Wars. The original trilogy will always be three of the most beloved films in history. Yes, even Return of the Jedi. And whereas the prequels have tarnished the series reputation a little (although I enjoy them), Star Wars will continue to live on and gain new fans forever...
I agree. The Matrix is hugely overrated. The effects were cool at first, but by the end of the movie they just got repetitive.
Hugo Weaving and Joe Pantoliano kept it watchable, but overall it was merely average. The sequels don't interest me in the slightest.

I didn't really know Amy very well, so I had no idea she had such health concerns. Reading this thread was a shock, and going over all these posts gave me an unpleasant chill all over.
All I can really say is that I'm so sorry to hear this news and I wish Amy's family and friends all the...
I watched a little bit of this on TV over here, and I gotta say, I don't know how Americans enjoy this game. It's the slowest and most dull of all football codes I've ever seen. I guess you just have to be raised with it.
