Jim Henson Idea Man

Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
It pretty much went as I expected one would. The thing about Robin's parents was a low blow, but, again, expected.
I did like the Raven generally cared about their well being, though. But the only thing that honks me off about this episode is the title. I think we were robbed of an actual...
(Slaps self on forehead)...
Just realized, I should've posted those Japanese Flintstones ads here. For the benefit of those who haven't seen them in the other thread they're posted in, I post the link to that post.
Anyway, here's the last one I could find, though incomplete and short...
It...
Saw those at a convention on a huge screen in a darkened room.
Usually I love seeing anime versions of American cartoons, but the off model Fred Flintstone and co...eh...I had trouble sleeping that night. And the weird thing is, I had a dream about an off model Japanese animated something...
Oh. And I forgot. Nice little gag they had bringing Kraang Sub-Prime into the 80's universe. A nice stealth way to get Irma into that world.
Also cracked the heck up at the Megan Fox comment, and the obvious voice actor bit about 80's Raph and '12 Donnie sharing the same voice actor.
This is one of those movies they make every 10 years to be the coming of age film for each generation. I see nothing outrageous or majorly out of left field with this one. They're all essentially the same, just updated to make them relevant with those who were 10 year olds the last time one of...
I swear there was either a Sesame Street or Fraggle Rock Book and recording that didn't have anyone and they just narrated the whole thing with one guy.
But I assume these are much different cases with these "lost" Child Guidance recordings, where they just didn't bother to get any of the...
I recently picked up the Jif PB&J Crunch cereal, and I have to admit I was actually amazed by it. So many cereals claim to taste like something and they either barely do or not so much. But because of the corn and oat makeup, the thing tastes exactly like a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich...
I caught the Nicktoons rebroadcast, which was...heh...followed by Turtles Forever. I think this episode dealt with the subject matter better, and was able to make the one comment about the original show TF didn't. That they never fought with their own weapons.
It would have been nice to give...
Then the April Fool's episode happened. :insatiable: But that's to be expected. Shame the last one minute of the show was much better than the rest of it. I wish they made a whole episode like that to be an April Fool's joke.
I try to be a little more positive than most about this show, I...
Okay. This is a matter of "I have no idea where to put this." It's not bad enough to be in "I can't believe it's terrible." Nor is it a cereal commercial or one I'd rant about, and...I guess this could be considered funny.
Now, I'm sure some of you have seen that "Chocolate Monster" Pebbles...
The whole thing just raises questions for me. We're they that cheap they'd have to record soundalikes? Though, frankly, it wouldn't have been the first time as older book and recordings couldn't get in all the performers to do their respective voices, for example...
they had Fran and Carol...
Something tells me Batman VS Superman is still going to wind up missing the mark in the long run. The reviews, as expected, aren't good, though far more negative than I would have imagined (I'd think a 50-something percent). I didn't see it yet, and I'll only go during a Tuesday bargain...
I do distinctly remember a short lived world music style fad, so Calypso Sesame Theme isn't that out of left field, but compared to the so 90's it's painful end credits (that we had well into the 2000's), it seems a bit of a strange choice.
Then again, the 90's graced us with "It's Zydeco," so...
I'm not afraid to admit I've never actually played Angry Birds before...okay, that's technically not true. I tried out the Sega Genesis ROM clone of it, and the physics is waaaay off and it's impossible to pass the second level as a result, but still, props to the programmers.
Anyway, I've...
While I can't say I exactly loved the Hip Hop arrangement, I have to admit I like the beat. The instrumental at the end of the show was actually pretty catchy. I have to admit I liked it better as a hip hop inspired arrangement than the 1990's closing.
Plus, it didn't come from absolutely...
I'm actually quite impressed with the animation. At least they got that right. The first couple of episodes were iffy, but they managed to give the look a nice level of flow to the movement. I was initially disappointed that they didn't give it the look and animation of the "new Teen Titans"...
Here's another Japanese "Corn Frosts" ad. After seeing so many Tony the Creeper ads they have made recently, I was actually thrown by how dynamic he was here.
Why can't we have that instead of being at some girl and her father's house at 4 Am to watch Soccer?
Here's a treat. Japanese breakfast cereal commercials obviously produced in the west. This is for a Japan exclusive breakfast cereal called "Kombo," and features a large gorilla named (of course) King Kombo. I have his Kubrick figure somewhere, and love the mascot's design. They TOTES should...
