Jim Henson Idea Man
Remember the life. Honor the legacy. Inspire your soul. The new Jim Henson documentary "Idea Man" is now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
Thanks for that explanation. Let's also hope that when Disney+ launches next year, we can get a chance to see that new Muppets series as a chance for the characters to become more popular. I also hope the Muppets catalog will be avaliable on there, including the stuff that never got released on DVD.
Does anyone have Disney Channel Australia airings of episodes 405 and 413 of The Muppet Show for trade? (The former with Victor Borge, the latter with Dizzy Gillespie) I'm asking this because I'd like uncut, 25 minute versions of these episodes for personal use. I won't make money off of them...
Those look illegal. You can wait, but yeah, just stick with those TV recordings of episodes from the 4th and 5th seasons that never made it to home media in the USA. And I bet they'll be out next year, I agree with you. On Disney+, the Disney streaming service, no matter what or if possible.
I think they will bother releasing the last two seasons, on DVD or digital download or streaming, like Debbie McClellan said at DragonCon 2015. She's right.
But I will admit and agree that it may be better late than never.

"If you go to Muppet Central there's numerous references and links there that there's no rights issues on Season 4 and 5 and Disney keeps promising they're coming but continues to delay. They even did a D23 announcement a few years ago. The...
I guess Louise Gold and Kathryn Mullen will have to take his place, or maybe Chris Langham. (But I guess it'll be Kathy since Louise and Chris are in the UK and too busy to fly to the USA to do commentaries)
Well, we'll see about that. I've seen Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers on digital download and there were episodes that never made it to DVD, so this could happen for The Muppet Show as well on streaming, and even the former.
They should be with Disney no matter what because 5 of the Muppet movies were produced by them and the first two now belong to them. So don't get me wrong, but Disney should own The Muppets, Bear in the Big Blue House, Star Wars, Marvel, and Wander Over Yander, no matter what. They really should.
Including Muppets Tonight, The Jim Henson Hour, and all of The Muppet Show (1976-1981), including seasons 4 and 5, uncut or edited (for stuff that can't be cleared)? If so, that's a great idea.
P.S. The Disney streaming service is gonna be called "Disney+".
Does he have the uncut versions of episodes 405 and 413 from somewhere like Disney Channel Australia, or are they the same edited versions from Nickelodeon and CTS?
