A Gift Exchange with the Muppets

Well, here it is the first of December, so I thought I'd start this thread: Suppose you and the Muppets were having one of those "Secret Santa" gift exchanges? What do you think a Muppet who drew your name might give you? And what if you drew a certain Muppet's name—what might you give? I think...

What song can you not get out of your head?

The "Ugly" song, from the Milton Berle episode of The Muppet Show. I keep finding myself about to sing it out loud, but I just know that if I do, someone will give me a "who are you calling ugly?" look. ;)

    Dreams about Muppets...

Last night, I dreamed about Christmas cards with drawings of Monty on them. The inside of one showed Monty and an elephant with a Christmas wreath. Now, if only I could remember what those cards said! Knowing Monty, I'm sure it was something ridiculous.

What is your favorite Muppet Show Sketch

I could never choose one favorite, but I love "I'm Just Wild About Harry."

    The corny joke thread

What did Ernie say when Bert asked if he wanted ice cream? "Sherbet!" (If you don't get it, say it out loud!)

What's the most FUN episode of The Muppet Show?

LOL! That makes at least two episodes where someone says, "Your pants are on fire."

What's the most FUN episode of The Muppet Show?

Rowlf: I have changed my mind. I am not taking out the appendix. Piggy: What are you taking out? Rowlf: The blonde on the end.

What's the most FUN episode of The Muppet Show?

I love the James Coco episode—how Coco thinks the show needs "razzle dazzle" and decides to liven it up. So then the Swedish Chef is interrupted by Spanish dancers, and Dr. Bob is "razzle dazzled" by a line of chorus girls!

    Any Big Mean Carl fans?

I'm surprised he didn't eat those pumpkins after smashing them! But maybe he doesn't like produce.

    Any Big Mean Carl fans?

I would love to see a plush toy of Carl! Remember his eating those animals on Muppets Tonight's game show "Swift Wits"?

    Sesame Street Dream

Last night, I had a dream about the Mad Painter. It was the sketch where he uses blue icing to make a 6 on a cake. But in my dream, he had to enter a highly guarded mansion to get to the cake. I think he got in by stealing someone's identification paper when no one was looking, then showing it...

    Dreams about Muppets...

I recently dreamed that Beaker spoke in actual words.

    Dreams about Muppets...

I dreamed that someone was working a Fozzie Muppet in a produce aisle of a supermarket. He looked like the version from the first season of the Muppet Show. It was crowded, so all I could see of the puppeteer was one arm, but he sounded like Frank Oz. When I spoke to Fozzie and he answered, he...

    Kermit Tries a Monster Exercise

Here's a link to a Muppet Wiki page about that sketch. What was Kermit thinking of, though, trying that exercise? As he's reminded Grover in the past, frogs don't have noses! http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Grover_Sketches:_Miscellaneous

    Little things we've noticed

I saw that "Classic Sesame Street" has a thread called "Little Things We've Noticed." Well, how about one for "Classic Muppets"? Here's one for a starter: the UK bit on the Carol Channing episode of the Muppet Show. Floyd, on guitar, and Beauregard, on harmonica, play "Wave" for some...

    Kermit Tries a Monster Exercise

I have rather vague memories of a sketch where Kermit watched Grover touching his toes with his nose (or was it touching his nose with his toes?) five times. Kermit then decided to try it, though Grover warned against it. "This is a monster exercise!" But Kermit tried anyway and wound up hurting...

    Least likeable Sesame character?

Deena was a monster I didn't care for. She was always insisting that another monster, Pearl, play with her, usually when Pearl was trying to tidy up or make a bed. Granted, Ernie did the same sort of thing to Bert, but at least Bert and Ernie were funny about it. And Deena didn't even have good...
