It's a shame, but considering it premiered with an episode where Sumo had to move to a different school due to a neighborhood zoning plan, and has stuck ever since, that should have been a...
And their parents probably complain about it when they're the ones who give them those devices in the first place. I remember Paula Poundstone complained about this a couple of years ago on CBS Sunday Morning.
Sallis was also the voice of James Bloggs in When the Wind Blows, which I just watched last month and highly recommend. And what a long productive life he lived before passing away of natural causes at 96, though he continued to do acting work for a few years after developing macular...
So Wonder Woman was this weekend's big winner, though Captain Underpants came up a little short and was DW's lowest opening film even when taking inflation into account, though I don't expect the loss to be too great seeing how it's CanCon. Baywatch, on the other hand, slipped down to #5 after...
The French Chef and The Joy of Painting have been given a Twitch marathon before MRN has, and were proven quite popular. Hopefully we'll even get to see other PBS shows such as The Electric Company, Zoom, Reading Rainbow, and Square One TV get a live stream, too. :)
So, did anyone see the episode that parodied Final Fantasy VII, which isn't something you see in kids' shows in spite of its popularity? I especially liked how they pointed out how they would just stand there in battle because they loved the battle theme so much. And it's true. :)
There's no way this will succeed. The first Nut Job's success was dumb luck, and if Spark was a massive flop, I don't see this being very successful, either.
Only if handled with care. If it can give the show some new life and do some interesting things that the original never got to do, or undo the damage that past incarnations did, then I'm all for it. For one, there was a He-Man reboot from 2003 that went in a darker direction and added more depth...
Am I the only one who thinks the Piece Police from The Puzzle Place could be related to the Swedish Chef? :hungry: They have covered eyes and are largely unintelligible, but lack human hands.
I really think that they should have shown the "Conflict" episodes in the stream. They deliver a very important message about peace, the danger of jumping to conclusions, and the necessity of skepticism (with Ladies Aberlin and Elaine), which still needs to be heard today.
I also liked hearing...
That's true. I would love to see more Minerva Mink, and not just because she's a real babe. :D I'd also love to see the writers make use of ideas they didn't get the opportunity to do, like that bacteria soap opera "As the Petri Dish Turns" or the new angle of Pinky & The Brain in which they get...
Spielberg will still be bankrolling this revival, so maybe he'll have the good sense to go with full hand-drawn animation or, worst-case scenario, a Flash studio that can allow for very fluid and expressive animation, like Bardel or Mercury Filmworks. TV-quality CGI can't really allow you to be...
Honestly, I feel like the show ran its course with 99 episodes and a TV movie in the bag, hardly something "cancelled before its time". Though it would be neat seeing the original cast and writers return, if they will be involved.
And I have a strong feeling this will be put on Netflix or...
I recently finished through The Secret Garden, a book that I've been wanting to read for some reason, probably because I saw the Harvey Beaks episode "The Secret Gordon" that very loosely parodies it. It's a very beautiful and hopeful story, and I know there was a film adaptation from 1993 that...
I liked how the mini-golf episode with the giant robot Betty Boop/Owl Jolson terrorizing town had a twist in that she wasn't just looking for the golf ball that Buttercup refused to turn over from scoring a perfect game that she felt she earned, but rather All in all, it's another one of Haley...
Pirates of the Caribbean 5 was the big moneymaker this Memorial Day weekend, though it's the lowest-grossing entry so far when adjusted for inflation. Guardians 2 is still showing signs of life, taking in around $20 mil. But in 3rd place is that idiotic self-parody Baywatch film that no one...
I remember reading that Carroll Spinney was supposed to take off the Big Bird head and show how he works the puppet, but he objected as he didn't want to ruin the magic for his audience. I think it was the right choice as that's really something that kids should best know when they're much older...
