Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
Those are just so weird and frightening. They're the video equivalent of jingling keys in front of your kid's face with their use of stilted nursery rhymes and inexplicable abundance of licensed cartoon characters. Makes me respect Dora and its inspirations a little bit more as a result, and...
We've now got a premiere date: August 12 for the 1-hour pilot titled "Whoo-oo!", and September 23 for the show proper.

And the theme song is just awesome, too, different but not...
Buttercup getting all swole because of peer pressure fitness and learning why being so muscled up is a bad thing for her felt much like a classic episode once again. It's also a little reminiscent of the CatDog episode where Dog got freakishly buff and 'roid ragey from drinking nothing but...
The Switch is selling like hotcakes to the point where the Japanese are lining up not to buy one, but to get a chance to win one in a lottery because they're so scarce. And I have a feeling with heavy-hitters like Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, and a slew of...
Once again, it's going to be a standalone story, which is a bit more reassuring to me. Maybe Pixar wanted to make a TV special for Valentine's Day, but needed more time to work with, so they thought about going theatrical.
I hope we get to see what happened to Bo Peep and her three-headed sheep.
I recently watched Illumination's Sing, and I found it way more enjoyable than I thought, mainly for the colorful ensemble of characters. But now that a sequel was greenlit, how will that work out? Hopefully the writers will be smart enough not to make it a retread (oh no, the theater is getting...
That's funny. I just saw a commercial for yet another re-release of Bambi on Blu-ray right when I was talking about it on the Mickey Mouse shorts thread.
In "Swimmin' Hole", when the water from Holey fell from the sky, "Little April Shower" from Bambi started to play. And check out a certain lucky rabbit at 1:21 in "Canned". :)
Many actors try not to typecast themselves, but Adam West took it in stride and made a career out of making fun of the fact that he was Batman, albeit not as Mayor West in Family Guy. He got to reprise the role along with Burt Ward in a DC animated movie that based itself off the '60s TV series...
Next month, CBS will debut the Candy Crush game show hosted by Mario Lopez. I'm giving it a chance as it still looks more interesting than that money-sucking Bejeweled clone it's based on. There's a lot more physical skill involved, for one.
I'm pretty sure prof. VAs and animation staff are still used for scratch recordings, though there are many instances where the latter is kept because they did such a good job. Also helps that they save a ton of money on the side.
One of the best examples was with Edna Mode in The Incredibles...
I really don't mind it myself, even though I would love to see more professional VAs in animated films voice major characters. Comedians have some of the best kinds of voices when it comes to voice acting, as theirs are distinctive enough to work.
Following in the footsteps of Adventure Time, Clarence finally had its own story arc. It was a 6-parter where Clarence wanted to hold a huge sleepover for all his friends and even the school faculty, but a power outage during a severe thunderstorm forces him to think otherwise. Each part focused...
Now here's an awesome TMNT Summer Short that Nick has going on, this time focusing on a weird new group of turtle fighters called the Teenage Mecha Ninja Turtles. The art style looks like a fusion of the Fred Wolf and 4Kids series, which is cool. :)
