(Sorry for the bump)
I'd have to say Mokey is one muppet crush I have (Given I don't have much of a choice when it comes to females). I don't know, maybe it's because she's artistic, have a cute voice and just seems like a good friend to hang around.
I'd go Spamela, but I never really saw much...
Well, it's not much of an obsession as it is a huge interest. However, my brother used to be a casual fan, but he says I ruined the whole thing for him by talking to him about it all the time, annoying him unintentionally.
I feel a bit guilty about this and my words at the beginning of this...
Thanks for the reassurance, guys. The thing is my friends in real life love the fact I have a Muppet obsession, to the point where they like my impressions (They say my Animal voice is spot on), it's just my brother who says I have a problem.
I'm not a guy who likes to step on people's toes...
My brother says that a Muppet obsession is unhealthy, and he wanted to start a heated disagreement on the matter. Though I see it as a frivolous topic for debate, I want to know from my fellow Muppet fans if an obsession is a bad thing or a good one. :search:
I won't get into any details...
I bought a Manhattan Toy Mokey from Amazon last night. She'll compliment my Red nicely. FYI, Wembley is next. :coy:
Not sure if this counts, but my mom let me have an old Kermit doll she had back in the 80's (1981 according to the tag). :)
One thing I learned is to improvise. Me and my brother do it all the time when practicing puppets, though his sense of humor is a little low brow while mine is more Muppet based. I've been doing improv for about 3 years and just now getting some chops with puppetry.
I'm gonna have to go with Ragtime Queen, or any song Mokey has for that matter. Most of them are filled with pure emotion and the fact she has an angelic voice seals the deal. :coy:
I like the Knitting Song the Doozers sang in the Radish Famine episode. Honestly, that's the most productive...
The one I'm getting is the Manhattan Toy version. They seem to be good when it comes to the Fraggles. They seem to have left out her necklace though, but I can probably make one myself, seeing as it's just a pop-tab tied around a bit of twine.
As for the Mokey you mentioned, I found one on...
Thanks bro. I know what you mean on that problem. Someone was selling a taking Buster doll from Tiny Toons, and he/she wanted about $50 bucks not including shipping. It worked, but I could not see the justification for that price.
I'll be patient, as I'm probably going to get Mokey off Amazon...
I agree, the spirit of the Muppets is still alive and well, even after Disney bought the rights to them. This video is proof of that, as the Chef once again made me laugh harder than a hyena on laughing gas. :hungry:
Well, I did check eBay and Amazon and most of them are from Sababa or Manhattan Toy (The latter I'm a bit more interested in). I understand people aren't going to sell their Hasbro or Tomy guys probably for collectors or nostalgia reasons (I know how you feel, I wouldn't give up an old E.T. I...
My little cousin is fastly becoming a Muppet fan. I often read her some old Sesame Street books (In the character's voices, of course), I let her watch my Fraggle DVDs and even let her play with my Red plushie (As well as my puppet and Kermit).
Hey all, I was wondering if any of you had any spare Fraggle Rock plushies about. I'd prefer the newer ones, but I'll take any older ones if need be. Pics would be nice so I can see what I may potentially buy.
However, I do not need a Sababa Red, since I already got one of her. I'll take a...
I wish they'd do more stuff like this, personally. It'd be a perfect viral marketing technique to get word of the movie out. I'd love to see other characters like Gobo, Mokey, Wembley, heck even Convincing John (If they could find a replacement for Henson) make appearances, even if they have to...
